Chakravarthy is a famous business tycoon whose hunger for power blurs the line between legality and cruelty. One fateful night, he orchestrates the murder of his general manager Sundaram with the help of his henchman Ranjith. The crime is witnessed by Lakshmi and her infant son, a sight that haunts the town. Chakravarthy hires Ranjith to finish Lakshmi off and, when the opportunity arises, he also targets the baby, but the child manages to slip away and vanish into the night.
MADHU is a gifted painter who struggles with alcohol, drifting through life with a weary charm. On a rough evening, after leaving a bar, he spots a sleeping child on the road, scoops him up, and brings him home. He names the boy Raja and becomes his guardian, pouring care and quiet hope into this fragile bond. When Raja later spots Ranjith on the street, the danger of their presence in town becomes clear to both Chakravarthy and Ranjith, who start taking a closer interest in the boy’s whereabouts.
As the days pass, Madhu discovers that Raja is deaf-mute, a fact confirmed by a doctor who suggests Raja may have been abandoned by his parents. Despite the hardship, Madhu’s gentle resolve keeps him going, and a new friendship begins to form with a woman named Geetha. Geetha, played by Geetha, initially teases Raja for breaking her gift but soon grows to care for the boy and develops a soft spot for Madhu. She confesses her attraction, and though Madhu reveals that he is married with a deceased wife, she does not back away; her warmth and seriousness slowly draw him in.
The plot thickens as Ranjith enlists a blacksmith and his wife to pose as Raja’s adoptive parents, attempting to reclaim the child. Madhu becomes wary when they press Raja to speak and pose as a childless couple eager to adopt. The deception is uncovered, and Madhu drives them away, keeping Raja safe in his own home.
One evening, Madhu and Raja visit Geetha’s house, and Raja is stunned to see a photograph of his mother among Geetha’s belongings. In a revelatory moment, it’s revealed that his mother Lakshmi is Geetha’s elder sister, tying the two families together in a web of shared history and unresolved pain. That night, a drunken Madhu sleeps heavily, while Ranjith secretly tries to abduct Raja. Madhu awakens just in time, saves Raja, and swears off drinking, understanding the danger now more than ever.
The tension escalates as Madhu confronts a street gang he clashed with at a bar, and his later arrest places Raja under Geetha’s protection. Geetha’s father, Chalapathi Rao, returns and, upon learning Raja’s connection to Lakshmi, recognizes Raja as Lakshmi’s son Benny and begins to understand the girl’s sister’s fate more clearly.
In prison, Madhu faces interrogation by the police who doubt his innocence. They head to Lakshmi’s residence, where Raja signals through gestures that his mother was stabbed by a bearded man. The truth comes to light when Lakshmi’s body is unearthed from the backyard. Madhu manages to escape custody and seeks out the same blacksmith, only to learn that the man he hired to capture Raja now has his own brood, underscoring how far this plot has reached. Realizing he’s in far deeper trouble, Madhu demands a description of the mysterious killer and sketches a portrait that he then shows to Raja to confirm the suspect.
News reaches him that Sundaram and Lakshmi were killed by the same culprit, a thread that pulls Madhu closer to Chakravarthy’s door. He confronts Chakravarthy in his house, and the two exchange tense exchanges that push the case toward a dramatic climax. Inspector Reddy orders an identification parade to pinpoint the perpetrator among Chakravarthy’s staff, pushing the investigation to its final turn.
As a last resort, Chakravarthy and Ranjith attempt one final kidnapping of Raja. Ranjith infiltrates Geetha’s home, but Madhu intercepts him in a fierce confrontation that ends with Ranjith’s death in a brutal duel. Chakravarthy succeeds in seizing Raja and dragging him to a high-rise terrace, where he tries to force Madhu into a deadly choice: jump or watch Raja be killed. Madhu, battered but unbroken, rises to the challenge and fights his way through to a climactic end, killing Chakravarthy and saving Raja from a grim fate.
In the aftermath, the two families come together, and Madhu and Geetha forge a new life—together with Raja—by adopting the boy and starting a hopeful chapter filled with care, resilience, and the promise of a quiet, steady future.
