Viswam and his wife Vasundhara Sharada are an idealistic couple living near a forest, devoted to educating the illiterate forest dwellers to improve their quality of life and earn a better livelihood. Their mission is noble, rooted in hope and a belief that knowledge can change lives, and they work tirelessly to uplift the community around them. Yet their progress draws the ire of a local villain, Thodella Appala Naidu Rao Gopal Rao, who profits by exploiting the poor—buying their products at low prices and selling them in the nearby town for a hefty margin. His grip on the villagers’ profits casts a long shadow over the forest’s simple, hopeful efforts.
As Viswam and Vasundhara push for direct, fair trade, Appala Naidu schemes to drag them into an exploitative net that would tighten his control. When the couple refuses to bow to his pressure, Naidu decides to eliminate them. He executes a calculated plan that frames Viswam for the murder of a tribal man, ensuring his arrest and removing a barrier to Naidu’s schemes. The community is left unsettled, and Vasundhara is forced to react with courage and resolve.
In the midst of this danger, Vasundhara escapes with her baby Kalidasu Chiranjeevi, hiding him deep in the forest. Kalidasu is found and raised by an elephant, growing up alongside the forest’s other animals. The years pass in relative quiet, until a new chapter begins when a young woman named Radhika Radha visits the forest with friends. She is attacked by Naidu’s goons, but Kalidasu intervenes and saves her. Later, the two meet again when Kalidasu returns a lost radio, and a tender romance begins to blossom. Radhika’s affection grows as she searches for the mysterious guardian of the forest she has come to love.
Their bond deepens even as Kalidasu’s courage is tested by further dangers. He protects Radhika from predatory threats, including a tiger and a crocodile, proving himself a steadfast ally and brave protector in the wild. Meanwhile, a group of poachers targets the forest’s elephants, and Kalidasu rises to thwart their plans, displaying a growing sense of justice and responsibility.
Trouble resurfaces when the poachers manage to frame Kalidasu for the murder of a police officer, leading to his arrest. In prison, Vasundhara experiences a startling realization: the tattoo of a Sivalingam on Kalidasu’s shoulder matches her own son, revealing that Viswam’s son is indeed alive. Kalidasu, however, struggles to understand or communicate with her at first, until an encounter with an elephant calf begins to open a channel of recognition that he is Vasundhara’s child.
Escaping from jail, Kalidasu confronts the forces that wronged him and is finally reunited with Vasundhara. She dedicates herself to educating him and to pursuing justice against Appala Naidu. Guided by Vasundhara’s wisdom and driven by a newly awakened sense of responsibility, Kalidasu sheds his past and grows into a legitimate, principled man. The film culminates in his determined pursuit of justice and revenge against the villain, signaling a new chapter where the forest’s people can hope for a fairer future.
