Laxmikanth Chauhan, known as Laxmi, is portrayed as a devoted partner and tool operator. He stands against societal norms that subject women to harsh treatment during their menstrual cycles.

After marrying Gayatri, Laxmi discovers she uses unhygienic cloths during her period instead of sanitary napkins. Concerned for her health and comfort, he decides to change her experience by introducing better alternatives.

Laxmi purchases a packet of sanitary napkins, hoping to improve Gayatri's hygiene. However, she expresses her dissatisfaction over the cost, prompting Laxmi to find a more affordable solution.

Determined to help women, Laxmi begins to create his own sanitary napkins. Despite his enthusiasm, the first trials do not impress Gayatri, leading him to seek wider community feedback.

As Laxmi tries to garner support for his product, he faces skepticism and criticism, particularly from his sisters. This lack of support is compounded by the sudden transfer of the local doctor who could have helped him.

Laxmi enlists the help of medical students to promote his invention but faces rejection again. This persistent failure drives him to further desperate measures, trying to recruit a young neighbor for his test.

Laxmi's experimentation with his product leads to an embarrassing incident when a leak occurs during a public demonstration. This event culminates in a Panchayat meeting, where he faces community backlash.

After feeling ostracized from his community, Laxmi decides to relocate to the city. He takes on a job as a house helper, gathering funds for his ongoing research into effective materials for his sanitary pads.

While searching for solutions, Laxmi identifies a U.S. company that specializes in cellulose fibers, crucial for creating better sanitary products. He manages to obtain samples to experiment with.

Laxmi borrows money to construct a machine that can produce sanitary pads effectively. After numerous trials and setbacks, he finally creates a working prototype ready for market.

Laxmi encounters Pari Walia, a Tabla performer, when she is in need of sanitary supplies. This meeting sparks an alliance that propels his mission forward despite her initial skepticism.

Pari, moved by Laxmi's passion, invites him to present his innovation at an IIT Delhi competition. He impressively showcases how he reduced production costs, earning him recognition and a prestigious award.

Following his recognition, Pari decides to join Laxmi in his venture, allowing them to market their product as 'Pari'. Together, they experience an explosion in sales, empowering many women through employment.

Laxmi and Pari devise a plan to approach a bank for financing, enabling women to purchase the machinery needed. This initiative creates an ongoing cycle of job creation and easier access to sanitary products.

In a climactic achievement, Laxmi addresses a United Nations event, highlighting his mission to uplift women across India. He is awarded the Padma Shri for his groundbreaking work and dedication to social change.
