Journey through the forest toward the bunker

The mercenaries travel most of the way by truck through a war-torn forest, hearing distant artillery and jets overhead. A sudden burst of static knocks out their radios, heightening the sense that they are isolated and exposed.

Jordan spots a flash of light among the trees and Tak fires, suspecting a distant shooter. A return shot shatters the tense moment and McKay is hit in the arm, though no enemy is seen and no bullet casings are found.

Leaving Jordan and Tak above ground, the rest of the team searches the seemingly abandoned bunker complex. They discover a room filled with corpses and a catatonic survivor, Götz, hidden within.

Behind a projector screen the team finds the Nazi flag hidden in a back room. In that same area they locate a large generator-like device whose purpose is not yet clear.

The mercenaries interrogate Götz to no avail; the group speculates that local paramilitaries used the bunker to hide evidence of ethnic cleansing. Jordan hints there might be a hidden stockpile of Nazi gold somewhere in the complex.

D.C. imposes a perimeter of landmines around the bunker, suspecting hostiles may be hunting the cache. Hunt reveals that the company wants Hunt to find and recover the powerful device, and will use leverage against all of them if they attempt to evacuate.

Tak's brutal torture and Voyteche's death

Outside the perimeter, Tak is brutally tortured and killed. The next morning, Voyteche is found dead, stabbed and propped up beside Tak’s body, underscoring the danger the team faces from unknown assailants.

Back inside, Jordan shows D.C. a warped German rifle round removed from McKay that is not in use since WWII. Its odd origin deepens the mystery and introduces the possibility of unseen forces at work.

With evacuation blocked by threats to their families, the surviving mercenaries decide to restart the machine to neutralize the SS and trap them in the bunker. DC joins Prior, Jordan, and Hunt to implement the risky plan in the test chamber.

The undead SS garrison, now led by Götz, attacks in force. The team buys time to power up the device’s shockwave to disable the corpses, but the machine is unstable and the assault resumes.

Tragic losses and a failed escape

Jordan is pulled down a side corridor and killed. A wounded D.C. fights to buy time for Hunt to escape through the vents, but he is overrun as well. Hunt finds himself trapped in the test chamber, cornered by Götz and his men before being dragged down from behind.

Second team arrives and a new assault looms

A second corporate team arrives 72 hours later to conduct the same mission, only to discover a 'breather' among the piles of naked corpses. Outside, the clearing is lit again and Götz signals the SS to begin their assault on the new arrivals.
