Omar

Omar, a Palestinian baker, secretly crosses the West Bank barrier to visit his sweetheart Nadia, hoping to marry her. Their relationship thrives despite constant danger as they meet at checkpoints and hidden spots along the barrier.

Omar and his childhood friends Tarek and Amjad stage a nighttime attack on a checkpoint, signaling a turn toward more militant actions. Amjad serves as a sniper and fatally shoots an Israeli soldier. The action draws a strong Israeli pursuit and complicates their lives.

Omar is pursued and captured by Israeli forces during a crossing and is beaten. In prison, an agent named Rami pretends to be a fellow inmate and tortures Omar to reveal who shot the soldier. The interrogation seeks a confession that could seal Omar's fate.

Omar secures his release by agreeing to aid in detaining Tarek, whom Rami claims killed the soldier. This coerced cooperation marks the start of a pattern of manipulation and mistrust that shadows Omar afterward.

Upon release, Omar is suspected of collaboration and becomes a target of suspicion in the community. Nadia is revealed to be Tarek's sister, which deeply complicates Omar's relationship with her and deepens the social backlash.

Omar is pursued again when a planned operation is betrayed, resulting in the deaths of four militants. Other prisoners attack him, believing he is a traitor, and he makes a second deal with Rami to navigate the danger.

Amjad admits betraying the others and reveals that Nadia is pregnant with Omar's child, a fact used by the Israelis to pressure Amjad. The revelation deepens Omar's moral and personal turmoil as loyalties fracture.

Omar forces Amjad to confess to Tarek; during the confrontation, Tarek's gun accidentally fires and he is killed. With Rami's help, Omar and Amjad hide their involvement in his death from the authorities.

Two years later, Omar visits Nadia and learns that Amjad had lied about an affair. Nadia has married Amjad and has two children, but she still loves Omar and had written a letter to him before her marriage that Amjad did not deliver.

Rami visits Omar to coerce him into killing a leading militant. Omar agrees to help capture the new ringleader of the Jerusalem Brigade in exchange for a gun and a promise to reveal who killed the soldier years ago at the checkpoint.

Omar tells the ringleader about Amjad and receives permission to deal with his old friend, setting the stage for a dangerous confrontation that will test loyalties once again.

Omar meets with Rami and three other Israeli agents and is given the promised gun. In a decisive turn, he uses it to shoot and kill Rami, ending the agent's manipulation once and for all.
