The ending of No One Will Save You reveals that Brynn is the only remaining human uninfected by the alien parasites that control everyone else. Throughout the film, we see her fighting to survive against increasingly dangerous alien creatures that have invaded her town, all while dealing with her own feelings of guilt about her past. It is eventually shown that Brynn’s silence and refusal to scream—or alternatively, her emotional suppression—allowed her to avoid the parasites’ control longer than others, as the parasites seem to strengthen when humans scream or show panic.

When Brynn is finally abducted by the alien ship, the aliens access her memories and discover her tragic past: as a teenager, she killed her best friend Maude in a moment of rage, not intending to harm her, but those actions led to her ostracization by the town and her own guilt. The aliens seem to recognize her unique empathy or perhaps her capacity for remorse, and instead of killing her, they choose to leave her behind when they see that she is different. The film ends with Brynn awakening in her house, where she finds everyone in town suddenly friendly and unconcerned, their throats still showing signs of the parasites. The entire town is now controlled by the aliens, who have taken over the world, but Brynn remains uninfected and free—perhaps because of her emotional resilience, or her silence, which kept her from being fully colonized. The final scenes show her happily embracing this new, eerie world, where she is the only one who is truly free from alien control, leaving her in a strange, unsettling peace.
