Sameer Malhotra moves to Goa and takes up a lifeguard job as a coping mechanism for his anger-management issues after his parents' death. He hopes the coastal life will shield him from the troubles that haunt his temper, and his horoscope's claim of misfortune in love doesn't help.

On the train, Suraj pries about Sameer's valuables, awakening his suspicion of danger. Suraj pretends to sleep while leaving Sameer guarding his luggage; the ploy ends with Suraj revealing he is a security guard at Sameer's resort. As a consequence, Sameer assigns Suraj to night guard duty for three months, straining Suraj's own life.

Sameer meets his neighbor Rani, a budding fashion designer, and quickly falls for her. Their friendship deepens despite initial friction with her father Jugraj Singh, a former colonel. The trouble begins when Sameer offhandedly criticizes her to an astrologer, causing Rani to doubt him.

Sunny, who shares Sameer's room, also falls for Rani and sees an opportunity to exploit Sameer's mistakes. He sows discord between the roommates and begins to meddle with Rani's affections, escalating the love-triangle dynamic. Tension spills into Goa's streets as the rivalry deepens.

Overcoming his own frugal caution, Sameer anonymously sends money to fund Rani's fashion competition, presenting himself as her 'well-wisher.' He had kept money aside for his grandmother's eye surgery and his sister's wedding, so this donation is a personal risk. Rani wins the competition and seeks to thank the mysterious benefactor.

Sunny arrives first to claim the role of 'well-wisher' and abducts Rani away with him. Sameer chases after them on his motorcycle, unintentionally injuring Jugraj Singh in the process. The incident deepens the rift and sets off a chain of petty schemes.

Sunny steals credit for a painting of Rani painted by Sameer and kidnaps her dog, Tommy, accusing Sameer of wrongdoing. Sameer buys an identical dog and tries to convince Singh that he has found Tommy. The dog bites Singh and runs away after a cold bath, exposing the ruse.

Despite the turmoil, Sameer and Rani reconcile with the help of a magician at a New Year's Eve party. The magical moment bridges the rift between them and tempers the tensions around the Eagle Gang nickname.

A bar dancer is placed in Sameer's room by Sunny, and when Rani stumbles upon them, she suspects sexual infidelity. This incident deepens her fear that Sameer has become the violent leader of a biker gang called the Eagle Gang.

Sameer attempts another apology at Rani's house, where he unexpectedly encounters Suraj, who is revealed to be Rani's uncle. Suraj supports Sameer and agrees to drop the night-shift duty, easing the tension.

Pushpa, Sameer's partially blind grandmother, mistakes Rani's mother for Rani and pressures them to consider marriage. Rani's mother counsels her to think carefully about whom she loves more: Sameer or Sunny, heightening the emotional stakes.

Feeling worn down, Sameer decides to leave Goa. Sunny then claims that his closeness to Rani was built on Sameer's mistakes, prompting a dramatic chase through a cricket stadium during a friendly India-Pakistan match. Sameer overcomes his anger, takes a microphone, apologizes to Rani and her parents, and asks for her hand in front of the crowd, reuniting them.

Sunny finally reveals his true identity as Arun, who arrived from the United States to cure Sameer's anger issues. Arun explains his mission, having spent years away and returning to support Sameer. With the truth out, Arun conducts the wedding ceremony for Sameer and Rani.
