Mixed by Erry

Three brothers Enrico, Peppe, and Angelo Frattasio grow up in modest conditions in the Forcella neighborhood of Naples. Their father Pasquale smuggles tea by passing it off as whiskey, shaping their world of small-time schemes. Enrico nurtures a love for music but is shy and doubts his chances to pursue it publicly.

Working at an electrical appliance shop, Enrico begins compiling mixtapes on cassette for friends and customers after hours. He uses the shop's equipment to test sounds and mix tracks, dreaming of becoming a DJ. This hobby gradually becomes a marketable skill.

When the shop closes, Enrico turns his cassette art into a real business by opening a small shop called Mixed by Erry. He creates personalized music cassettes tailored to the tastes of people in the neighborhood. The venture marks the start of a larger, more ambitious audio enterprise.

To scale up, Enrico and Peppe borrow money from a local boss to buy sophisticated audio-recorders capable of copying cassettes in bulk. The new gear lets them meet growing demand beyond the neighborhood. The operation begins pulling in money from wider circles.

Angelo leverages his prison-era connections to help the brothers expand beyond Naples. They set up multiple laboratories and begin distributing thousands of cassettes across Italy. The business moves from informal routes to a national black-market network.

As their reach grows, Moroccan gangs attempt to impede the operation. The Frattasio brothers navigate dangerous criminal politics, while Angelo's networks help them weather the pressure. The operation becomes more deeply embedded in the criminal economy.

The business booms; the Frattasios become wealthy and famous, even as their pirate brand 'Mixed By Erry' floods the market. Original labels worry about the competition and seek to suppress the scheme. The family navigates a shifting landscape of legality and piracy.

A Camorra boss sets his sights on overtaking the lucrative operation but is killed amid 1980s mob wars. The violence reshapes Naples' criminal landscape and indirectly benefits the Frattasios. The brothers ride the power shifts to protect their growing business.

Captain Ricciardi of the Guardia di Finanza detects the illicit activity and begins a formal crackdown. The brothers are arrested and imprisoned as the investigation closes in. Enrico receives a tip that their money is buried in a secret place to be claimed after release. In prison, he also learns that the shift from the lira to the euro will complicate their plans.
