Madha Gaja Raja

The film begins with a relay race involving two groups of students. Teacher Dhandapani's team wins the race, but the victory is marred by some foul play during the event. This opening scene sets the stage for rivalry and tension among the characters.

Several years later, in Chinna Anaikatti, Madha Gaja Raja assumes responsibility for protecting Theekuchi Thirumugam and his daughter Madhavi from hired thugs. He gives them safety at his residence, leading to a blossoming romantic relationship with Madhavi. However, Srinivasan, Madhavi’s father, insults Thirumugam, causing the couple to leave when Raja is away.

Kalyanasundaram, who owns Goodbye Travels, faces marital issues as his wife Gayathri, influenced by her mother, seeks divorce due to his failure to disclose his mortuary van business before marriage. They attend a wedding along with Madhavi and others, introducing subplots of personal conflicts.

On the way to the wedding, they meet Shanmugam, Ramesh, and Raja—the winning team from the relay race. Maya, Ramesh’s sister-in-law, shows interest in Raja, hinting at developing relationships among the characters.

Raja persuades Dhandapani to allow his daughter to marry her cousin, helping to reconcile family differences. He also stages a play with his friends to mend Kalyanasundaram’s relationship with Gayathri. In a gesture of sportsmanship, Raja intentionally loses a rematch race to please the other team.

Ramesh confesses that his suspension was fabricated and believes it was a retaliation by Vishwanath, a powerful media baron, for sealing his pharmaceutical company that produced harmful drugs. This introduces a subplot of corruption and revenge.

Raja travels to Chennai to demand compensation from Vishwanath for the damages caused to Ramesh and Sathya. Vishwanath dismisses his claims and falsely accuses Raja and an auto driver of drug peddling, leading to Raja's temporary imprisonment but ultimately his release.

Vishwanath orders his men to murder Minister Nallamuthu and attempts to frame Raja for the crime. Raja and Kalyanasundaram cleverly use a body double to fake Nallamuthu’s death, exposing Vishwanath's scheme during a televised event and causing the minister’s swearing-in ceremony to be canceled.

Vishwanath orchestrates a caste riot and plans a procession to honor martyrs. Simultaneously, he arranges a covert operation to smuggle black money through Tuticorin port, using the chaos as a cover for his illegal activities. Raja investigates and uncovers these plans.

In a final showdown, Raja intercepts Vishwanath’s illegal activities and a confrontation ensues. Raja manages to thwart Vishwanath’s plans, leading to his arrest. Ramesh is cleared of charges and reinstated, while the government compensates the affected weavers and vendors.
