Days later, the higher viewership of the rival threatens Dark Tales' numbers and Jennifer's grip on the situation tightens. She insists on re-enacting a rape scene with the cast to sensationalize the show, a stunt that backfires and triggers outrage.

The controversial stunt leads the channel and advertisers to pull the plug. Social media erupts with protests, and Mahila Morcha joins the chorus demanding a ban.

In a bid to save the show, Jennifer decides to capture a ghost on tape and broadcast the event live. The team prepares to present something sensational to the audience.

They take the live ghost idea to Ram, the head of the channel, who grants them a last chance as the other show’s numbers continue to dwindle.

The team learns of a house where a family is experiencing similar demonic phenomena. Shenbagham, a tailor, lives there with her son and daughter Oviya; her husband works abroad. The son cannot recognize new faces and starts crying when told of strangers.

The team inspects the location and stocks it with additional props to create a convincingly haunted atmosphere. Shenbagham explains the family dynamics and the son’s condition, reinforcing the stakes of the shoot.

Kalai and Shekhar are still in a relationship, complicating the plan. The team decides to go with plan B, using two actors to pose as ghosts in case the supernatural presence fails to appear.

A real ghost finally appears on cue, and the actor hired to play the ghost is possessed by the spirit. The line between fiction and reality blurs on set.

With the possession turning real, everyone is locked inside the room; escaping would disrupt the remaining story and likely reveal the truth behind the haunting.
