The Lord of Darkness, residing in his dark chamber, confides his nefarious desires to his minion Blixx. He reveals his intention to kill the last two unicorns to immerse the world in darkness, allowing him to emerge from his sunlit cave.

Darkness instructs Blixx and his companions, Pox and Blunder, to capture the unicorns' horns. He knows that only an innocent soul like Princess Lily can attract these pure creatures, making her integral to his plan.

Princess Lily, embodying innocence and mischief, embarks on a journey to the enchanted forest. Despite her friend Nell's warnings, she is determined to visit her beloved Jack, a forest child.

Lily and Jack discover the last two unicorns, a mare and a stallion, in a hidden glade. In her delight, Lily approaches and touches the stallion, unknowingly making the unicorns vulnerable to the goblins' evil intentions.

While Jack and Lily enjoy their moment, Blixx seizes the opportunity to fire a poisoned dart into the stallion. The wounded stallion flees with the mare, leaving Jack and Lily unaware of the calamity they have caused.

With the stallion's horn cut off, the world is plunged into a severe winter as blizzards envelop the land. Lily seeks shelter, only to find her friend Nell's house frozen solid, realizing the peril her innocent actions have wreaked.

Meanwhile, Jack meets a band of fairy folk led by Honeythorn Gump. They come together to discover the truth: that Lily's innocence has drawn them into this dark conflict, and they must rescue the unicorns.

Lily is captured by Blixx and taken to Darkness's underground palace. She overhears the goblins boasting about their evil deeds and vows to rectify her mistake and rescue the unicorn.

In the palace, Darkness attempts to tempt Lily with worldly goods and power, but she remains steadfast. He reveals his plan to sacrifice the mare at sunset to bring eternal darkness, solidifying Lily's resolve to stop him.

Jack, encouraged by Gump, embarks on a mission to gather allies and create a plan to save Lily and the mare. He faces and defeats Meg Mucklebones, marking his first significant victory on his heroic path.

Jack and his friends infiltrate Darkness's palace to save Lily. During the sacrificial ceremony, she unexpectedly takes control of the situation, showcasing her own strength and bravery against Darkness’s advances.

As sunlight is reflected into the palace, it weakens Darkness, forcing him to drop the unicorn horn. Jack seizes the moment and defeats Darkness, sending him into the abyss with his last curse echoing in their ears.

With the arrival of the sunlight, Jack and his allies restore the stallion and mare by returning the horn to its rightful place. The winter lifts, and normalcy returns to the land as the unicorns regenerate.

Lily, still under a spell, is awakened when Jack kisses her after finding her ring. Together, they step into a new beginning, their love having grown stronger throughout their harrowing journey.

The film concludes with Jack and Lily promising their love while celebrating their triumph over Darkness. However, as they part, Darkness's sinister laughter reverberates, hinting at future malevolence.
