In the wake of a devastating war, Sir Clifford Chatterley, Shane Briant, returns home crippled and unable to perform sexually. His wife, Constance Chatterley, Sylvia Kristel, grapples with a difficult choice between unwavering loyalty to her husband and the pull of her own sensual needs. With Clifford’s consent, and even a degree of encouragement, she finds herself open to ways of fulfilling those needs, including the idea of bearing him an heir to secure the family line.
