Vidya, a famous singer, discovers she is pregnant with Ranvir Singh's child. Ranvir wants the pregnancy aborted, but Vidya refuses and breaks up with him, leaving with her brother without informing him.

Vidya dies while delivering the baby. Her brother hands the newborn to driver Gangu Ganpat, instructing him to kill the child.

Ranvir Singh is haunted by guilt over betraying Vidya, whom he believes might be dead. The memory of Vidya's love weighs on him as he goes on with his life.

Gangu Ganpat, a drunkard, decides not to kill the baby and instead raises him. He names the infant Heera and begins caring for him, hoping to profit later from the boy.

In 1981, Heera has grown up. When he refuses to give Gangu liquor, the old man reveals that Heera is an orphan and explains the truth about his birth. Heera leaves his guardian, unsettled by these revelations.

Heera secures employment at Mahendar Singh's factory, where he immediately notes that workers are not paid fairly. He decides to take a stand against the exploitative practices and fight for the workers' rights.

Mohini, Kailashnath's daughter, falls in love with Heera without knowing his true lineage. She is drawn to his integrity and his compassion for the workers.

Mahendar transfers Heera to work at a hill-station estate with the explicit plan to kill him. Heera remains unaware of the danger as he continues to gain allies at the estate.

At the hill-station estate, Heera meets Ranvir Singh, who is unaware of their shared parentage. Heera's character and courage begin to win Ranvir's goodwill.

During a function, Mahendar's plot to eliminate Heera goes awry and Ranvir is injured. The incident draws out the truth and intensifies the stakes for Heera.

In the climactic sequence, Ranvir discovers Heera's true parentage and openly accepts him as his legitimate son, reuniting Vidya's family and bringing the estate back together.
