Krishna Mehra, Hrithik Roshan, is a remarkable, but sheltered five-year-old with a lineage wrapped in mystery. He is the son of Rohit Mehra, a gifted scientist, and Nisha Mehra, and he grows up under the care of his devoted grandmother, Sonia Mehra, Rekha, in the quiet hill town of Kasauli. A routine IQ test conducted by his school principal hints at something extraordinary when Krishna answers every question with flawless ease, suggesting to some that he may have inherited Rohit’s almost superhuman gifts—gifts that were once tied to the enigmatic power of Jadoo. To protect him from those who might misuse his abilities, Sonia makes a difficult decision and moves Krishna to a remote Himachal village, where he can grow up away from prying eyes and the lingering memory of Rohit’s fate.

Two decades pass, and Krishna blossoms into a capable, athletic young man who remains deeply connected to the natural world around him. In this quiet life, he encounters Priya, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Honey, Manini Mishra, two vacationing girls who are exploring the countryside with their group. After Krishna saves Priya from a Hang-Glider accident, the trio forms a bond. At first, he and his friend Bahadur merely play a harmless prank on Priya’s group by pretending he is a ghost, Kalicharan, but the joke spirals when the group plans to return home early, having fallen for the stunt. As their time together deepens, Priya and Honey witness firsthand some of Krishna’s uncanny abilities—he can converse with animals and demonstrates extraordinary strength—yet Krishna remains unaware of how his hidden past might catch up with him. When Honey’s team decides to feature Krishna on a television program in Singapore, Priya agrees to help, though she is uneasy about exploiting his naivety and his feelings for her.

Upon revealing his past, Sonia confronts Krishna with a painful family history. She recounts the story of his father, Rohit, and the perilous adventures with Jadoo, which culminated in Rohit’s supposed death and Nisha’s sorrowful passing. The tale paints Rohit as a brilliant mind whose ambitions attracted attention that proved dangerous, and it explains why Sonia chose to shield Krishna from the world’s gaze. As Krishna learns more, he feels a tangle of guilt and responsibility, vowing not to let the truth destroy his present happiness, and he agrees to go to Singapore to fulfill the project at hand.

The television endeavor ends up firing Priya and Honey after revealing nothing extraordinary about Krishna, as the production attempts to market him as a phenomenon. Krishna befriends a stunt performer named Kristian Li, Xia Bin, who is raising money for his handicapped sister’s leg surgery, Kristian Li’s Sister, Yu Xuan. Kristian invites Krishna and Priya to the Great Bombay Circus, where a dangerous firework accident traps several children in the burning tent. To save the children while concealing his abilities, Krishna improvises a bold disguise, donning a broken black clown’s mask and wearing his jacket inside-out to become Krrish for the first time. The scene marks a turning point, as Kristian witnesses the transformation and realizes that Krishna and Krrish are one and the same.

Back home, Priya and Honey uncover the truth about Krishna’s alter ego when they view footage captured during the circus incident. They plan to release the recording to catapult him into global stardom, but Krishna overhears their discussion and is shaken by the possibility of his life being sensationalized. He confronts Priya, who then begins to question Sonia’s stern guardianship and reveals curiosity about the Mehra family’s hidden past. Realizing she has misjudged Sonia, Priya resolves to stop her boss from leaking Krishna’s identity. In the meantime, Vikram Sinha, Sharat Saxena, a senior security officer for Dr. Arya, has dedicated years to locating Krishna and Sonia, driven by a belief that the Mehra family holds the key to a dangerous, world-changing technology.

With Priya’s help, Vikram Sinha finally uncovers the truth: Rohit is not dead but living, kept in a coma and monitored by a machine-enabled system connected to a powerful computer—an invention Rohit and Arya had collaborated on before Arya’s turn toward control. Rohit’s survival casts light on the past, and Sinha explains that Rohit was captured after a confrontation with Dr. Siddhant Arya, a once-close ally who later uses the computer for his own selfish ends. The revelation changes Krishna’s perspective on his own powers and the nature of the fight that lies ahead. The tense confrontation unfolds as Arya, who has rebuilt the machine, witnesses Krrish’s emergence as a real threat to his plans and resolves to eliminate Kristian Li to prevent a rival from stealing the spotlight.

As Krishna embraces the suit of Krrish once more, he pursues Arya across a remote island fortress where Rohit has been imprisoned. A brutal showdown ensues, with Arya and his henchmen mounting a relentless assault as Sinha is killed and Priya and Rohit are placed in danger. In a climactic exchange, Krrish defeats Arya, saving Priya and Rohit, and Arya fatally wounds before realizing the truth about Krishna’s identity. With Arya’s defeat, Krishna reveals to Rohit that he is his son, and the family—Sonia, Krishna, Priya, and Rohit—reunites in India. Rohit mourns the loss of Nisha, who passed away long ago, and the father and son, once separated by tragedy, are finally able to honor each other’s memories. Rohit prepares to rekindle the bond with Jadoo, and his triumph is marked by a final act of gratitude toward the family that kept him alive long enough to see Krishna fulfilled.
