Space Scientist Sanjay Mehra has built a powerful supercomputer that broadcasts subtle variations of the syllable Om into the cosmos, hoping to spark a response from intelligent life beyond Earth. When a distant signal finally arrives, his colleagues mock him, doubting the significance of what they’ve heard. On the way home that night, an alien spacecraft appears overhead in the wake of the reply, and a moment of distraction leads to a devastating car crash. The explosion takes Dr. Mehra’s life and leaves his pregnant wife, Sonia Mehra, grievously wounded while their unborn son Rohit Mehra fights for his life. Sonia learns that Rohit’s disability may be permanent and that the medical path to a cure carries tremendous risks, including paralysis or fatal complications. Refusing to lose her child, she chooses to raise Rohit in the quiet hill town of Kasauli, where the family seeks a safer, more hopeful environment.

Years pass, and Rohit grows into a bright, affectionate boy trapped by his developmental challenges, yet surrounded by six loyal friends who support him through schoolyard adventures and everyday obstacles. A new presence arrives in town: Nisha Malhotra, whose initial glances at Rohit are colored by his mischievous humor and his visible differences. Her friend Raj Saxena, a former classmate of Rohit, is wary and often wary of Rohit’s circle. When Rohit’s scooter is broken during a tense moment with Raj’s gang, Sonia steps in to defend him and reveals Rohit’s condition to Nisha. This revelation shifts Nisha’s perspective, and she soon learns to see Rohit for more than his disability. In an act of genuine kindness, Nisha gifts Rohit a bicycle and helps him connect with her parents, who respond with warmth and sympathy.

Curiosity becomes a bridge between these two worlds when Rohit and his friends revisit Sanjay Mehra’s old computer and accidentally summon beings from the cosmos. The visitors retreat, but one member is inadvertently left behind, a small, curious alien whom Rohit and his companions begin to call Jadoo. What begins as a strange phenomenon quickly evolves into an extraordinary friendship, as Jadoo demonstrates astonishing psychokinetic abilities that respond to sunlight and seemingly unlock Rohit’s latent potential. With Jadoo’s help, Rohit’s cognitive and perceptual abilities begin to sharpen in remarkable ways: he can solve seventh-grade problems with ease, and even his teachers—who once doubted him—are astonished by his sudden, clear progress.

As Rohit’s capabilities grow, Raj’s gang escalates their taunts and pushes Rohit to prove himself on the basketball court. Rohit rises to the challenge, scoring point after point, while Jadoo quietly lends a protective boost that helps the group secure victory, though under the watchful eye of the sunlit sky. In those tense moments of triumph and fear, Rohit finds the courage to confess his love to Nisha, and she returns his feelings with warmth and clarity. Yet Raj’s gang refuses to let the peace stand, raiding Rohit’s circle with renewed hostility and harassment, and the tension comes to a head in a dramatic confrontation.

During a chaotic pursuit, Jadoo slips from sight into a bag that is discovered by Constable Chelaram Sukhwani. The officer alerts backup, and the scene intensifies as Inspector Khurshid Khan and his team move to seize the mysterious bag. Rohit acts quickly to rescue Jadoo, and in a tense moment, it becomes clear that Jadoo was not in the bag at all—the alien had slipped free while Chelaram was calling for reinforcements. The authorities, convinced Rohit may harbor dangerous powers, close in, and Rohit finds himself face-to-face with the possibility of government intervention.

Khurshid Khan, wary and stern, confronts Rohit at home, and the police close in as they seize Jadoo and restrain Rohit. But Rohit rouses his inner strength to track the police convoy and rescue Jadoo from a fate that could see him sent to the United States. The dramatic return of the flying saucer that Jadoo had summoned heralds a bittersweet farewell; Rohit watches as Jadoo departs, and with the alien’s departure, Rohit’s extraordinary abilities recede to their former, more grounded state. The government acknowledges Rohit’s courageous actions and, in a gesture of relief and recognition, commends him for saving a life and balancing two very different worlds.

The victory is not without its scars, however. Raj’s gang renews their harassment, and a brash moment erupts when Rohit, in a burst of anger, kicks a ball directly into Raj’s face, a move that signals to everyone—including Rohit—that Jadoo’s influence has returned his superpowers in full. In gratitude for the second chance he’s been granted, Rohit and Nisha honor Jadoo’s gift and, at last, commit to one another in marriage, beginning a new life built on trust, resilience, and a quiet, enduring love.
