Read the complete plot breakdown of Knucklehead (2010), including all key story events, major twists, and the ending explained in detail. Discover what really happened—and what it all means.

KNUCKLEHEAD tells the engaging story of con artist Eddie Sullivan, portrayed by Mark Feuerstein, who finds himself in deep financial trouble after racking up a significant debt with a local bookie, played by Dennis Farina. In a desperate bid to escape his predicament, Eddie hatches a plan to get rich quickly by teaming up with a kindhearted giant named Walter, capitalized by Paul The Big Show Wight, who is blissfully unaware of his role in Eddie’s scheme.

Walter faces his own challenges, as his orphanage— the only family he has ever known— is in dire need of funds. When Eddie learns about Walter’s plight, he persuades the stern head nun, Sister Francesca, brought to life by Wendie Malick, that Walter can bring in money by winning fights. Eddie’s brilliant scheme is to travel from town to town, entering Walter into a series of small, unsanctioned fighting contests in pursuit of prize money.

To ensure things go smoothly, Sister Francesca appoints Mary, played by Melora Hardin, as a chaperone for Walter and the funds, granting Eddie a tight timeline of just one week— along with a prayer— to make the scheme a success. As they journey through the South towards the prestigious Pro-Am MMA tournament in New Orleans, Walter begins to experience life beyond the walls of the orphanage, exploring newfound freedom and friendships. Meanwhile, Eddie grapples with a moral dilemma: should he pocket all the winnings for himself, or honor his commitment to Walter, the one individual he’s started to genuinely care about?
