Sherman’s life, portrayed by Michael Shulman, as a diligent Yale law student takes an unexpected turn when he decides to embrace a more spontaneous and adventurous approach to life, a suggestion prompted by his girlfriend, Lacey Chabert. After experiencing a painful breakup and losing financial support from his mother, Sherman embarks on a road trip to Southern California, where a significant job opportunity awaits him.
