Back on Earth, Monaka receives the bracelet made from rocks from Mars, a birthday gift tied to her father. The item serves as a cryptic link to the past and to the dangerous events unfolding across space and city. She senses only a vague significance for now as daily life continues.

In Tokyo, police pursue the violent criminal Tsuin through the streets and into a train station. After he shoots bystanders and takes a little girl hostage, the Angel of Death appears, disarms him, and shoots him dead, leaving a trail of white feathers in the aftermath. The brutal turn underscores a city-wide threat prowling the shadows.

Monaka begins working at Apollo 11, presenting a nerdy, clumsy high‑school girl persona in public to stay inconspicuous. She endures harassment from a perverted regular patron and clashes with coworker Manatsu Mukai, who undermines her. The cafe manager receives a troubling call referencing the real Tsuin and naming Rin Gaga as the killer of Tsuin's little brother’s killer.

Back on the ISS, infected crew members transform into homicidal, nearly bulletproof monsters and slaughter most of the station’s crew and ISS police. The remaining survivors blow up the station to stop the threat, but one monster remains elusive. The doctor and Doi escape with the others, while Defy Foods begins to suspect a cover-up.

That same night, Monaka and her coworker Mukai talk after work while playing with fireworks, reflecting on the risks of leading a double life. Mukai warns about the danger of trusting adults, foreshadowing the broader deceit surrounding Monaka’s world. The scene deepens the theme of appearances versus reality.

On her way home, Monaka encounters Rin Gaga, the police officer who had pursued the pedophile earlier. That night, Gaga returns home to a confrontation with Tsuin and engages in a tense gunfight before he flees. The Angel of Death engages the monster with sniper fire, only to discover the creature is bulletproof. The monster recognizes Monaka through her bracelet and eyes, triggering a decisive moment in their confrontation.

As the chase continues, Monaka fires on the monster and it collapses onto a passing convoy carrying Doi, causing a dramatic explosion.
