Kiss the Girls

Four days after Naomi disappeared, Dr. Alex Cross travels to Durham to assist in the search. He meets with local police and begins coordinating with Detectives Nick Ruskin and Davey Sikes and FBI agents. The case deepens as more young women go missing.

Cross teams up with the local detectives and the FBI, sharing information and strategy. He joins the hunt for Naomi and the other missing women. The group travels to crime scenes and prepares for possible confrontations.

The team visits a wooded crime scene where one of the missing women has been brutally murdered and tied to a tree. The gruesome discovery heightens Cross's fear for Naomi's safety and underscores the serial nature of the abductions. The team warns that a killer or killers are operating on multiple fronts.

Dr. Kate McTiernan, a physician and kickboxer, is abducted from her home by a masked man calling himself Casanova. She wakes in a stone-walled room, heavily sedated, and learns that other captives are nearby. She resolves to escape and survive.

Kate overpower's Casanova during a routine visit and escapes into the woods, leaping off a cliff into a river to ensure her freedom. She is found and taken to a hospital, where she recovers and agrees to help Cross by sharing details of her captivity.

Kate provides vital information about her captivity and describes Casanova. Cross discovers that a California plastic surgeon, Dr. William Rudolph, ordered a large quantity of Sistol, a sedative used on the captives. They decide to pursue Rudolph, heading west with Sampson and Henry to begin surveillance.

They stake out Rudolph's home, follow him to a remote cabin, and later to a nightclub. Kate, recognizing Rudolph's touch, suspects he may be Casanova and warns Cross to be wary.

Rudolph abducts a woman from the nightclub and heads to his cabin, triggering a chase when the group hears her screams. Rudolph shoots one of Sampson’s men and injures Cross before escaping.

Back in California, investigators identify a second killer nicknamed the Gentleman Caller who is involved in the abductions and shares images of captives with Casanova. His MO includes a hidden freezer with mutilated body parts, distinguishing him from Casanova.

With Naomi's boyfriend's help, Cross locates the NC hideout where the women are being held and prepares a rescue with local authorities. Rudolph travels to North Carolina and breaches Casanova's lair, escalating the danger.

Cross and the team rescue the captives, including Naomi, in a climactic confrontation. Rudolph is killed by Cross in an ensuing chase, while Casanova manages to escape.

The FBI raids the hideout and uncovers Casanova's fingerprints, linking him to the crimes. Kate invites Cross to dinner at her home, but Detective Ruskin arrives first and cuts the phone line.

Cross realizes that Ruskin's handwriting matches Casanova's signature and races to Kate's house to confront the killer and save her. The revelation confirms Ruskin's true identity as Casanova.

In a tense kitchen confrontation, Cross confronts Ruskin as flames threaten an explosion. He shoots Ruskin through a milk carton, preventing the blast, and Casanova is finally dead. Cross and Kate share a quiet embrace as the police arrive.
