Ashi’s quest for revenge and justice drives the story to its intense conclusion. After discovering that the brutal massacre of her tribe and her father was orchestrated by Chi-rok, she is consumed by rage. She kills and infects Joseon soldiers with the resurrection plants, turning them into zombies, which leads to chaos and destruction of the army camp. She then keeps her loved ones chained in a secluded wooden house, feeding them human flesh to sustain their undead state, revealing her descent into darkness and her willingness to use horrifying methods for revenge.

During the climactic confrontation, Ashin seeks out Aidagan and his warriors to avenge her father and her tribe. In the final moments, she faces them alone, drawing her bow and choosing to attack before they can reach her. The image of her aiming her arrow suggests she has killed them, continuing her path of revenge with a ruthless determination.

Throughout the story, it’s clear that Ashin’s journey has transformed her from a young girl worried about her mother’s health into a fierce and vengeful woman willing to use deadly, unnatural powers. Her actions have set off a chain of events that not only threaten the political stability of the region but also give rise to the horrifying power of the undead, which plays a crucial role in the history of the kingdom.
