King of Robbery

Chan Sing escapes from the Kwai Chung asylum with his underlings Leung and Hak. They kill the officers watching him and flee by hopping onto Wo's speedboat. They meet goldsmith Boss Chung and strike a deal to rob gold jewelry shops and split the spoils.

After the escape, Sing notices Fan living in the building next door and becomes attracted to her. The attachment gives Sing a personal stake beyond money. This budding relationship hints at tension between trust in the gang and his private desires.

The gang murders Boss Chung and steals all his gold, prompting the police to raise the bounty from HK$500,000 to HK$1 million. The increased reward heightens the danger for Sing and intensifies the chase. The violence expands as more forces become involved.

Public attention forces Sing to hide in a presidential suite hotel with Fan and the rest of the gang. The luxury shelter offers temporary safety while the hunt continues. The relationship with Fan adds a personal stake to the criminal thriller.

Sing and the crew rob an armored truck in Kwun Tong, triggering a fierce gunfight with Lee's squad. Hak is killed during the siege, and the rest fight to drive away with the truck as police close in.

Wo tries to drive the armored truck to safety but Sing shoots him. Leung climbs aboard and drives away, but Sing confronts him, shooting Leung in a bitter betrayal. The internal rupture fractures the gang at a critical moment.
