Shyam Prasad Bhardwaj, a multi-millionaire industrialist, hires Dev Kumar Malhotra to work for him and is impressed by how he handles himself. Shyam envisions Dev as a suitable match for his daughter Ritu and begins planning their marriage.

Ritu becomes engaged to Dev as Shyam pushes for the marriage. The engagement forges an alliance between the family and the charismatic hire, masking Dev's true intentions for now.

Days after the engagement, Shyam discovers that Dev is a con man indebted to a criminal. Dev kills Shyam to bury the secret, leaving Ritu's family in shock. Riya, Shyam's niece, witnesses the assassination and is left traumatized.

With Dev watching over Riya, the truth cannot come out easily. Riya falls into a deep shock, and Dev keeps her isolated to prevent disclosure. The secret threatens to destroy the newly formed alliance around Ritu.

Ritu starts suspecting Dev's true nature, and the danger intensifies as the couple goes on their honeymoon. On the night of the honeymoon, Dev tries to kill Ritu, but she manages to kill him in self-defense.

A terrified Ritu turns to her grandmother, who reveals that Dev was hurt but is alive in the hospital. She visits him and is shocked to see Dev alive and seemingly unscathed, behaving as if nothing happened. Everyone in the home believes him to be Dev.

Anand Kumar Malthora, Dev's identical twin brother, explains that Dev's crooked ways drove the brothers apart. He reveals Dev's plan to marry into Ritu's family and that he had been told about them by Dev. Anand's appearance shifts the balance of truth in the case.

Anand must live a double life: as Dev in front of the criminals and as Anand in front of Ritu's family. Ritu slowly falls for Anand, while Anand does not reciprocate, keeping the deception intact to protect her. He navigates both worlds to safeguard the truth.

Inspector Rahul, an old friend of Ritu, grows suspicious that Ritu and Dev conspired to kill Shyam. He presses for a clear account of the events and challenges the illusion surrounding Dev's survival.

To save Ritu, Rahul suggests a plan that hinges on finding Dev's dead body. Anand escapes custody and retrieves Dev's body from the place where Dev's girlfriend hid it, aiming to show Dev died in an accident after the escape.

Dev's rivals unite and try to kill Anand, but Anand defeats the villains, protecting himself and Ritu. The underworld threat intensifies as the truth remains hidden beneath the double life.

The recovered body convinces the court that Dev is dead, allowing the case to be closed. Anand is exonerated and reunited with Ritu, ending the web of deception that surrounded their marriage.
