With Rosakutty out of the way, Bhadra secures employment in Natesan's house as a helper, giving her close access to her target. Natesan's wife asks the Namboodiri about her husband's health, and he responds that theeyattu must be performed to appease the goddess. Several women perform mudiyattam to appease the goddess during theeyattu, and Chindan signals Bhadra as the one set to marry Uthaman. Bhadra seeks the goddess's blessing, unveils her long hair, and prays as she channels the ritual's power. With the rite completed, she steels herself to begin her plan the next day.

Bhadra pretends to be interested in Natesan and also courts Uthaman, turning them into rivals in her delicate game. Her calculated moves threaten the already fragile bond between father and son. The manipulation cements her as the architect of a deadly confrontation.
