Nita, a surgeon from a middle‑class Bombay family, is in love with struggling musician Ravi, much to her mother’s disapproval, who prefers a wealthy match. After a gravely wounded man recovers under her care, he returns as the affluent Vikram Chauhan and asks for her hand. Pressured by her parents, Nita agrees, though she plans to elope with Ravi. When Ravi misses their rendez‑vous, Nita marries Vikram in a lavish ceremony. Ravi later reappears, only to discover that Vikram has been sabotaging him—he is a mysterious figure who is human only by day.
