Boston is sealed off because a deadly virus has spread from Eastern Europe to the United States. The U.S. government built a wall around the city to prevent the virus from spreading to the mainland. Only people with special government or black-market passports are allowed to leave, creating a desperate situation where many are trapped inside the quarantine zone.

The earlier scenes establish that the virus originated in Eastern Europe after the fall of Communism, setting up why the U.S. took such extreme measures.

Delon is a mother desperate to get her son out of the quarantined city before the virus or the creature kills them. She was about to secure a black-market passport for her son when her duty called her back into the danger. Delon is captured by the creature along with two others and dragged to its underground lair. She manages to kick the creature unconscious long enough to break her restraints, then grabs a pistol. The creature's previous victims were killed easily, but Delon's survival and ability to fight back shows her determination to return to her son.

Delon is rewarded with two passports to the safe-zone as a reward for killing the creature and preventing the virus outbreak.
