Vikram (played by Rahul Roy) sets off into the forest on a hunting trip with his friend Arun, under a full moon that seems to glow with a strange, unsettled light. A tribal warning from a tribesman named Bheema rings in his ears—the night of the full moon is the cursed tiger’s hunting time—but Vikram laughs it off, sure that the old myth is just superstition. Arun senses something is off and urges him to turn back, yet Vikram’s stubborn curiosity pulls him forward in pursuit of a phantom predator that may not exist. As the sky darkens and rain begins to fall, the two men scramble for shelter, hoping to wait out the storm. Their search leads them to a hidden den where strange voices drift through the walls, carrying with them a chill that seems to creep into the bones.
Inside the den, Arun discovers ancient Sanskrit writings that spin a chilling tale, etched in the dust of time. The inscription recounts the saga of a king who was unable to father a child. A tantric’s grisly bargain promises that if the king can capture a pair of deeply bonded tigers—lovers, as the story says—and on a full moon night kill one of the pair and drink its blood, the king will be granted an heir. The king goes through the ritual, but the surviving mate curses him, transforming the ruler into a tiger every full moon and turning his hunts into a man-eating nightmare. The curse also binds anyone who kills the tiger-king while he remains in his animal form, dooming them to share in the same fate. Vikram, already skeptical, ridicules the myth, while Arun’s unease grows more pronounced. No sooner do they dismiss the superstition than a vicious, cursed tiger pounces, initiating a brutal struggle. Vikram fires at the beast but misses; Arun is slain in a swift, brutal attack, and a torrent of fear grips Vikram as the den erupts in flames.
The scene bursts into chaos as a torch’s flame catches and a ring of fire forms around the men. The tiger retreats, unwilling to press its attack while surrounded by fire, and Vikram staggers away from the den with the storm still raging. The commotion draws help from outside: Harry, and Forest Officer Bhaskar Inamdar (the latter a figure of authority and grit in khaki), converge on the scene. They find Vikram gravely wounded and a deranged Bheema attempting to finish what the jungle’s curse started. Bhaskar Inamdar intervenes, saving Vikram’s life by rushing him to hospital, where doctors fight to keep him alive.
In the hospital, Vikram’s condition deteriorates. Doctors declare him clinically dead, but destiny—or something darker—has other plans. The spirit of the tiger possesses Vikram, reviving him in a startling, otherworldly return that astonishes the medical team. Vikram survives, but a new awareness dawns: the curse has not ended; it has merely found a new host. A voice—the memory and warning of his dead friend—tells him that on the next full moon he will become the tiger again, and not just for one night, but every full moon thereafter. The prospect terrifies Vikram, yet he refuses the grim suggestion of self-destruction, determined to confront the fate that the curse has dealt him.
As Vikram grapples with his new realities, a darker impulse arises. He becomes enamored with Dr. Nita Chauhan, a compassionate physician who treats him with care, and he begins to see her in a way that unsettles him. Yet Nita’s heart belongs to another—an up-and-coming singer named Ravi, whose music and ambitions captivate her. Vikram’s inner darkness grows, feeding on jealousy and possession, and he moves to sever the bond between Nita and Ravi. The tension between love and predation intensifies as Vikram, emboldened by the curse, engineers a quiet, chilling plan to win Nita for himself by any means necessary, including marriage. The wedding night comes with its own dread—the full moon rises again, and Vikram, in human form, is driven by the beast within and kills another woman, a murder that confirms the haunting truth to all who doubt the legend.
Inspector Sudhir Pai begins to track a string of murders that mimic animal attacks, and Bhaskar Inamdar assists in the investigation. The killer’s pattern points inexorably toward Vikram, but solid evidence remains elusive. Ravi struggles to protect Nita and argues for Vikram’s arrest, while Nita, torn between fear and duty, grows increasingly wary of her husband’s unpredictable nights. Bheema, who had warned them of the danger to Nita, remains a crucial voice of caution, urging the group to acknowledge the true threat and act before more lives are lost. The investigators converge on Vikram’s home, only to find that the moon’s glow has again become the trigger for disappearances and violence.
With each passing night, Vikram’s power in human form grows stronger, but the circle tightens around him. Bhaskar, and Ravi, and Nita herself brace for the moment when the truth will break out into the open. A desperate attempt to shield Nita leads Bhaskar to try to ferry the group away in a car, but Vikram is waiting in the shadows and drags Bhaskar from the vehicle, killing him in a grisly, shocking moment of betrayal that underscores the terror of the curse. The group turns to Harry for answers, and he delves into ancient manuscripts to uncover a possible method for ending the nightmare: a dagger hidden in a distant temple within the mountains, an enchanted blade said to possess the power to kill the beast and sever the curse once and for all.
The journey to the sacred mountains marks a turning point. The trio—Ravi, Nita, and Bheema—press on toward the temple cave where a row of daggers lies before them. Only one of the blades is the correct weapon, and the map of clues suggests that the setting sun must reveal it. As sunset approaches, a beam of light enters the cave and illuminates the enchanted dagger, filling Ravi with hope. Vikram, ever resourceful and dangerous, infiltrates the cavern and takes Nita hostage, demanding the dagger in exchange for her safety. Ravi cooperates outwardly, but a fierce struggle erupts in the dim light as Vikram’s curse-borne strength tests every boundary.
In the ensuing clash, Vikram’s human form is almost as formidable as the tiger, and he nearly overpowers Ravi. Time hangs in the balance as the moon begins its ascent, and Vikram’s transformation grows imminent. Nita, summoning grit born of desperation, locates the dagger and flings it to Ravi, who seizes the moment to strike. With the enchanted blade in hand, Ravi drives the dagger into Vikram, ending the beast’s terrible dominance and breaking the curse that had haunted Vikram and those around him. The act of courage—and the dagger’s magic—seals the fate of the curse and finally brings an end to the Junoon that had threaded fear through every night the full moon rose.
