Joggers Park

The film opens with a Rotary Club function honoring a retired Justice Jyotin Chatterjee, who has served the profession with integrity. As he nears retirement, he senses a void in his life. His wife comments to reporters that neither she nor he knows what he will do after retiring.

The retired judge discovers that life outside the courtroom feels hollow and unsatisfying. He struggles to define his purpose after years of public service, while his wife worries about their future.

The judge is invited as guest of honour at many functions, but his stump speech about the venerable, time-tested legal profession falls flat. The younger generation challenges him to relax the law's grip on issues of love, romance, and sex, and he urges them to enjoy youth but responsibly.

Seeking a change of pace, he visits Joggers Park and meets Jenny Suratwala, a young and vivacious freelance model and event planner. They strike up a friendship, drawn by the judge's experiences and Jenny's fresh perspective.

Jenny learns from the judge's vast experiences while he gains insight into the world of younger people. Their friendship broadens their horizons, revealing a shared curiosity about life, love, and the generation gap.

Jenny brings a legal problem to him regarding ownership of her late father's apartment, and the judge helps her fight and win the case. The success strengthens their bond and deepens his sense of purpose.

Some of Jenny's younger colleagues disapprove of the relationship and plot to end it by stalking and taking pictures of their private moments. Jenny discovers them and angrily confronts them, destroying some of the photos in the process. She finally admits that she is in love with the judge.

The judge faces a family honour test when his son is caught having an affair. He reprimands his son and orders him to end the affair and seek forgiveness from the family. This sequence underscores the weight of duty and tradition in the family.

Jenny's upcoming birthday party becomes a test of his willingness to express his feelings. One of her friends presses him to declare his love publicly, pushing him to act in line with his own speeches.

On the day of the party, Tariq Ahmed, a local tabloid editor, arrives with knowledge of the photographs and a sense of obligation to redeem a debt of gratitude to the judge. He returns the photos to the judge's daughter, who confronts her father, and the incident forces the judge to end his relationship with Jenny to protect the family honour.

Several years later, the judge runs into Jenny at the airport. She is now married with a child, and they greet each other warmly. She introduces him to her husband as they fondly remember their previous association as the film ends.
