Yamaraj, the Hindu god of death, made a cosmic mistake. He was supposed to take Tarun Kumar Saxena, but Sanjay looked exactly like Tarun, so Yamaraj took Sanjay's soul instead. When the error was discovered in heaven, the gods decided to send Sanjay back to Earth in Tarun's body as compensation.

After Yamaraj realized Sanjay died by mistake, he retrieved the soul and discovered that Tarun had just been shot by his own brother. With Tarun's body already dead and about to be cremated, Yamaraj placed Sanjay's soul into Tarun's body and removed the bullet, giving Sanjay a second chance at life.

Tarun was a wealthy but unscrupulous businessman who built his fortune through illegal means. He framed Priya's father simply for his own greedy motives, to expand his criminal empire and eliminate anyone who stood in his way. The frame had no personal connection to Priya's family.

Tarun's brother murdered Rita. He killed her to prevent her from revealing the truth about his crimes and to frame Priya for the murder. Rita was Tarun's secret wife and knew too much about the brother's illegal schemes.

Tarun's brother killed him for money and control over the family's criminal fortune. Like Tarun himself, the brother was corrupt and had been profiting from their illicit businesses. He wanted Tarun dead so he could take full control of the empire.

Sanjay confided in his old friend Rajendra Nath, sharing details about their shared past that only the real Sanjay would know. This convinced Rajendra Nath of his identity, and together they worked to dismantle Tarun's criminal enterprises and bring the villains to justice.

After Sanjay's soul was taken to heaven, his body remained on Earth. When Yamaraj discovered the mistake, Sanjay's body was still available, but the gods chose to place his soul in Tarun's body instead, since Tarun had also just died and his body was about to be cremated.

When Tarun's brother aimed to kill Sanjay in the final confrontation, the celestial angel who had been overseeing the entire situation intervened supernaturally. The angel knocked Tarun's brother unconscious, preventing him from committing murder and allowing the police to arrive and arrest him.

Priya realized that the man in Tarun's body was actually Sanjay because his behavior, values, and character had completely transformed. She recognized the goodness in him and chose to stand by the man she truly loved, regardless of whose body he inhabited.

Sanjay, while inhabiting Tarun's body, systematically dismantled all of Tarun's illegal businesses and redirected the money to charity. This dramatic transformation from a ruthless criminal to a compassionate man convinced Tarun's grandmother that something had truly changed, leading her to bless his union with Priya.

Tarun's brother deliberately killed Rita and staged the scene to frame Priya. He knew Priya had been investigating Tarun's crimes and wanted to eliminate her as a threat while also protecting himself and his brother from exposure.
