Jab We Met

Aditya Kashyap, heir to a wealthy but troubled family, is reeling from the news that his girlfriend is marrying someone else. He attends her wedding and, overwhelmed, drifts away from a company meeting. He boards a departing train from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai, where fate introduces him to Geet Dhillon.

On the train, Geet chatters away, overwhelming Aditya's mood, yet her energy draws him in despite his despair. He impulsively steps off at a small wayside stop, Barnagar railway station, intending not to return. Geet follows him onto the platform, scolding his recklessness, and the train pulls away, leaving them stranded.

Blaming Aditya for the mishap, Geet insists he help her reach her home in Bhatinda. They hire a taxi and Aditya even takes the wheel, racing along the interstate toward Ratlam Junction. They reach Ratlam before the train, but the chaos causes Geet to miss boarding again, leaving them stranded at the station.

That night, Geet coaxes Aditya into opening up about his family. He reveals his mother left his father for another man, leaving both father and son embittered. Geet confesses she plans to elope with Anshuman, explaining why she seeks his protection. The conversation deepens their bond as they confront loneliness and fear.

Over the following days, they travel together, and Aditya begins to shed his depression. He resolves to help Geet reach Bhatinda safely, valuing her safety above all. The journey forces him to confront his past and reevaluate what matters most.

They arrive in Bhatinda, where Geet introduces Aditya as the man who protected her. Her family remains guarded, with her grandfather suspicious of any romance. To hide his riches, Aditya presents himself as a musician, trying to blend in while the family approves their shared loyalty.

Geet reveals that her family intends to marry her off to a childhood friend, a plan she rejects. She convinces Aditya to accompany her to Manali to pursue her relationship with Anshuman. In Manali, Aditya bids her farewell and returns to Mumbai, continuing to hide his true identity.

The journey with Geet revitalizes Aditya. He reconciles with his estranged mother and gains new confidence in his work, even naming a product line after Geet. He realizes Geet brought color and meaning back into his world and that he has fallen in love.

Months later, Geet's family visits Aditya in Mumbai, distressed that she has disappeared from home. He travels to Manali to locate Anshuman, who admits he rejected Geet when she appeared unannounced. Aditya eventually finds Geet in Shimla, where she is living as a schoolteacher in quiet seclusion.

Armed with renewed resolve, Aditya encourages Geet to reclaim her spark, but Anshuman reappears hoping to reconcile. The trio travels back toward Bhatinda, where Geet's family mistakes Aditya for her partner. Geet wrestles with truth and tradition as she navigates her feelings.

Geet declares her love with a kiss in front of Anshuman, who exits her life for good. With their families' blessing, Geet and Aditya marry, choosing love over circumstance. The journey ends with a joyous union witnessed by both families.
