Sultan (Shakti Kapoor) adopts an orphan he names Badshah (Akshay Kumar). Badshah grows into a criminal, constantly hounded by Inspector Pradhan (Ashish Vidyarthi), and works alongside his sidekick Abdul (Ashutosh Rana). He finds hope in Sapna (Karisma Kapoor) but a public murder forces him to flee with a child he rescues, taking the boy to Sapna before Pradhan arrives. Assuming a new identity as Babu Lohar, he becomes a blacksmith and loving father. Seven years later he crosses paths with Abdul and Sultan again, while Pradhan still pursues him, and the child’s parents demand the boy’s return, leaving Babu torn between his new life and the past.
