During the 1980s and 1990s, Oslo sees a new breed of criminals that is more international and more dangerous than the city has ever witnessed. The rise of Norwegian drug kingpins sets their sights on the growing immigrant gangs who crave a share of heroin profits for themselves. A looming battle promises bloodshed before any stable balance can take hold. Against this volatile backdrop, three immigrant boys growing up on the east side of Oslo—Wasim [Emil Marwa], Riaz [Assad Siddique], and Munawar [Khawar Gomi Sadiq]—search for belonging and the respect they feel they deserve as Norwegians. School feels like a drag, and the thrill of the street calls louder, pulling them toward the East Side Crew, led by local petty criminals Sadiq [Daud Mirza] and his brother Khalid [Elyas Mohammed].

As their status climbs, the boys begin to taste money and power, and with it comes a new sense of risk and consequence. Wasim’s father eventually learns about his son’s activities and decides to send him to a distant aunt in Pakistan to study at Madrasa, hoping to steer him onto a steadier path. After two years away, Wasim returns to a Norway that has changed around him: the family is more prosperous, yet the lure of the old life remains potent. The middle-class life in Stovner feels stifling to him, and he quickly slides back into crime alongside Riaz and Munawar, continuing to run with the East Side Crew and pursuing the cravings that money and status now fuel.

In adulthood, Wasim evolves into a tough, ambitious gangster and a major heroin dealer, even coordinating the import of drugs directly from Pakistan. The expanding operation draws new enemies to the East Side Crew, and tensions rise as loyalties are tested. It becomes clear that Riaz has betrayed Khalid and is on the run, forcing Wasim and Munawar to enlist in the manhunt that follows. The chase unleashes a sequence of brutal events that threaten to tear apart everyone involved. Throughout, Wasim grapples with where his true loyalty lies—to his old friends or to the gang that has given him power. As the pursuit intensifies, he starts to formulate a plan for revenge—one that aims for the ultimate payoff while trying to outmaneuver the authorities and survive the danger that closes in.
