Indoo Ki Jawani

Indoo Gupta has been in a relationship with Satish for about a year in Ghaziabad. Satish wants to have sex, but Indoo refuses because she believes sex should happen after marriage. She frequently consults her best friend Sonal for guidance on relationships and boundaries.

Samar Khan, a musician from Hyderabad, matches with Indoo on Dinder. Because Sonal mistyped Indira as Indoo in the profile, Samar ends up calling her India, which adds a layer of awkward humor to their early exchanges. They acknowledge the upcoming night and Samar orders dinner using a mobile app Gomato. The mood is tense, with uncertainty about the upcoming encounter.

During the date, Samar’s passport falls, revealing his Pakistani identity. Indoo, having seen a police wanted order that marks Pakistani terrorists, immediately suspects him. Samar denies being involved with any terrorist activity, escalating their tension.

An argument erupts as suspicion and national tensions rise between Indoo and Samar. Indoo asks Samar to leave but also asks him to wait until the coast is clear so no one sees a man leaving her house. The two are trapped in a tense standoff inside Indoo's home.

Samar, anticipating a confrontation, pushes his way out of Indoo's house as the food arrives. Indoo’s plan to keep the terrorist unseen backfires when the delivery man ends up staying inside with Indoo. Now Indoo must figure out how to manage the situation while keeping their identities hidden and the street empty.

On his way back, Samar spots a dead body and checks its ID, realizing it is the delivery man who should have brought the food. He concludes the man in Indoo's house must be a terrorist. With his phone battery dead, he cannot easily call for help and instead seeks assistance from passers-by and a nearby prayer gathering.

Samar informs the police that a local girl India is in danger and that a dead body lies nearby, but the officers dismiss his warning treating Indoo as a mother figure rather than a threat. Frustrated, he returns to Indoo's house to warn her and confront the growing danger inside. The scene shows the police disconnect and the social undercurrent.

Samar returns to confront the supposed terrorist; a fight ensues and Indoo unknowingly strikes Samar with a stick, knocking him unconscious. The real terrorist is still at large, and a photo of the terrorist appears on TV, heightening the chaos inside the house. The tension peaks as the two try to discern ally from threat inside the same room.

Indoo switches on the TV and learns that the delivery man is the true Pakistani terrorist and that Samar had been trying to save her all along. Realizing the mistake, Indoo hides as the terrorist searches for her. The police arrive and the terrorist is shot in the hand, ending the immediate danger.

The confrontation ends with the police arriving and shooting the terrorist in the hand. Indoo and Samar apologize to each other and lean in for a kiss, signaling a new mutual understanding after the night of chaos. The couple emerges from the night wiser and closer.
