I Want to Know Your Parents

Ho-chang travels to Haneum International School after receiving a call. There he meets four other parents—Jung, Park Mu-Taek and his wife, and Do Ji-yeol—and attends a briefing. The principal informs them that Gon-woo was rescued from drowning in a lake and is now in a coma, and mentions a letter accusing the four parents' sons of bullying.

The parents decide to suppress the scandal to shield the school and their children. They begin private investigations of Gon-woo's room and decide to steal his phone to glean evidence. The move shows how far they are willing to go to control the narrative.

They discover via the phone footage that Gon-woo was bullied by the four boys. The evidence hardens their realization that the incident was real and serious. They debate how to react without triggering a full blow-up.

Ho-chang and Ji-yeol uncover that Gon-woo's phone contains footage of him being bullied by the four boys. The discovery shifts their perspective from denial to acknowledgment. It also raises the stakes for any further action they might take.

In court, a local store owner testifies that Han-gyeol was coerced by the other students to beat Gon-woo. Ji-Ho takes the stand and accuses Han-gyeol as the sole perpetrator. The testimony deepens the conflict as the defense questions the reliability of witness accounts.

Ho-chang reveals a covert recording that Ji-yeol bribed a witness to stay quiet. The new evidence shifts the balance and deepens the courtroom’s uncertainty. The defense responds as the testimonies become increasingly contested.

The court arrests the remaining three boys while Han-gyeol is acquitted and released as another coerced victim. The outcome feels incomplete to Ho-chang and Jeong-wook. The legal system seems to have punished some while not fully addressing the core causality.

Ho-chang returns to the lake and, with the help of a new witness and drone footage, learns that his own son was Gon-woo's killer. Shocked and distraught, he throws the drone into the water and wonders if he is more corrupted than his son.
