I Origins

A young scientist and his lab partner embark on a monumental quest to explore the origins of mankind by investigating the connection between vision and chromosomes across various species. Over the years, they gather extensive data that leads them to believe they’ve confirmed Evolution as the prevailing theory, earning them a level of notoriety. However, everything changes with the arrival of their son. After mapping his eyes, they discover that his eye data matches an individual from the database—a revelation that raises many questions.

Shortly after, another doctor reaches out, suggesting their son displays markers of autism and requires further testing. Instead of immediately pursuing the tests, they choose to focus on a more personal investigation. They begin by tracking down the individual whose eye traits align with their son’s, only to find out that this person had tragically passed away just before their son’s conception. As they dig deeper, they uncover that the people from the deceased’s life match with the baby pictures the doctor used during his assessment.

With curiosity piqued, the parents delve into data that increasingly contradicts the established notion of uniqueness in eye patterns. This put them on the trail of the father’s ex-girlfriend—a young girl born shortly after the ex’s untimely death. He travels to India in search of this little girl, conducting his own tests with photographs in hopes of unraveling the mystery. The test results initially cast doubt on his past research, leaving him feeling somewhat foolish.

However, a dramatic twist occurs when they prepare to exit in an elevator; the little girl suddenly bursts into tears and refuses to enter. As the father reflects on her fear, he experiences a chilling realization—his ex-girlfriend, whose eyes match those of this little girl, perished in an elevator accident. This emotional moment poignantly challenges his prior conclusions once again, leaving them navigating a web of uncertainties about identity, connection, and the mysteries of human genetics.
