I Am Mother

In a post-apocalyptic future, Earth faces a cataclysmic extinction event. This dire situation prompts the activation of an underground bunker designed for human repopulation.

Years later, as a teenager, Daughter experiences a power outage in the facility. Her investigation reveals a mouse that caused the malfunction, igniting her interest in the outside world.

Daughter’s discovery of the mouse intrigues her, but Mother's response is swift and harsh. She incinerates the mouse, interpreting it as a disease threat, which raises Daughter's suspicions.

Determined to explore, Daughter dons a hazmat suit and ventures into the airlock, where she encounters a wounded Woman. The Woman pleads for help, revealing the desperation of the outside world.

After the Woman enters the bunker, Daughter discovers a gun among her belongings, leading to distrust toward Mother's claims. This moment creates a tense dynamic within the shelter.
