Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke

Rahul Malhotra is the caretaker of a garment company and the guardian of his late sister's mischievous children: Sunny, Munni, and Vicky. When the kids cause trouble, he punishes them by locking them in their room. They manage to escape and head for a carnival in town.

Vyjayanti Iyer is the bubbly daughter of Mr. Iyer, a Carnatic music-loving South Indian businessman. She refuses to marry Natarajan Iyer, a Carnatic music legend, and is punished by her father by being locked up. She escapes and meets the three kids at the carnival, and they quickly become friends.

The children discover Vyjayanti has no home of her own; they invite her to stay with them. She agrees and begins living with Rahul and the kids, while they work to keep her presence hidden from Rahul.

A long sequence of comic escapades ensues as the children try to hide Vyjayanti from Rahul. Eventually Vyjayanti is revealed, and Rahul is initially angry, but he sees how much the kids love her. He offers Vyjayanti a job as the children's governess.

Vyjayanti begins to live with the family as their governess and gradually falls in love with Rahul. The household dynamic shifts as the bond between them deepens.

Maya, Bijlani's glamorous daughter, makes her appearance and becomes obsessed with Rahul. She pushes for an engagement, and Rahul appears to approve it for the children's sake. Vyjayanti and the kids grow concerned about the match.

When the news of the engagement reaches them, Vyjayanti and the children crash the party, causing a dramatic interruption. Rahul loses his temper briefly, but Vyjayanti confesses her love, leaving him shocked and reconsidering his stance. The revelation sets the stage for a real pairing.

Bijlani and Maya return with an offer of a second chance, but Rahul defends Vyjayanti against their insults and reaffirms his own feelings for her. The tension between old loyalties and new love deepens.

The children and Rahul organize the final push to secure the orders. The workers agree to overtime to complete the two lakh shirts, which are loaded onto a truck destined for Bijlani. The plan relies on timing and teamwork to outmaneuver the rivals.

Rahul arrives with the finished shipment on time, thwarting Bijlani's attempt to sabotage the deal. Bijlani and Maya are arrested as the truck arrives and the order reaches its destination.

Vyjayanti is reunited with her father, Mr. Iyer, who initially disapproves of marrying outside the Iyer clan. The workers and the children urge him to approve, and Natarajan supports the couple, eventually convincing Iyer to relent.

Rahul and Vyjayanti marry in a South Indian ceremony, with the blessing of family and friends. The film ends on a happy note as their union is celebrated and sealed.
