Georgina Lorenzana, a driven and ambitious businesswoman, attends a crucial meeting where the company president announces he’ll take a two-month leave, leaving her to run the marketing department. The president introduces Pong Dalupan as the new chief commercial officer, and tasks Georgina with securing Nipudu Air as a partner to open up the Japanese market and connect their airline to the broader Japanese network.

Georgina then meets with the Nipudu Air investor, Mr. Najimoto, who insists on speaking to her boss and threatens to pull the deal if he doesn’t show. To save the negotiations, Georgina devises a plan: Pong will stand in as the boss. In short order, Pong becomes part of the operation, and Georgina begins training him to convincingly fill the role, from wardrobe to conversation.

As their ruse unfolds, the two form a genuine bond while working to secure the deal. They must demonstrate how their airline can promote a non-tourist destination; this leads them to travel to Batanes, where they visit the Honesty Coffee Shop, do sightseeing, and meet Pong’s family. Their firsthand experience of the island strengthens their case and deepens their collaboration.

Back in the negotiating room, the presentation is compelling and successful, and the partnership with Nipudu Air is secured. Before the handshake, Georgina comes clean about the deception. Although the president and the department head initially react with anger, Pong defends them and praises their honesty, and the deal remains intact.

With the partnership in place, Georgina faces a personal turning point: she considers resigning, but is persuaded to stay. In the end, she recognizes her feelings for Pong and decides to pursue a relationship, signaling a new balance between her professional drive and her personal life.
