In Tokyo, Gorgeous plans a summer vacation with her widowed father, a wealthy film composer. He returns from Italy with the shocking news that he has remarried a woman named Ryoko Ema. The revelation unsettles Gorgeous and pushes her toward a change of scenery for the summer.

Gorgeous writes a letter to her aunt asking if she can visit for the summer. The aunt replies, inviting Gorgeous to come and bring friends. This creates the plan for the countryside stay with six companions.

Gorgeous and her six friends arrive at the aunt's countryside home. They are greeted warmly by the aunt, who shows them around the house and grounds. The girls settle in, excited for their summer away from the city.

The girls present a watermelon as a welcome gesture. They decide to keep the fruit cold by placing it in a well on the property. The simple plan foreshadows the strange events to come.

Mac goes to retrieve the watermelon from the well and does not return. The others grow concerned but initially assume she will reappear soon. The missing friend seeds an uneasy mood.

Fantasy discovers Mac's disembodied head in the air above the well, which suddenly flies and bites Fantasy's buttocks before she escapes. The eerie sight confirms that something supernatural lurks in the house and yard.

The aunt enters a broken refrigerator and disappears, leaving the girls startled and anxious. Her sudden vanishing deepens the sense that the house is not what it seems. The girls begin to feel increasingly trapped by the home’s oddities.

Gorgeous becomes possessed after using her aunt's mirror, while Kung Fu is attacked by flaming logs that strip her skirt, and Sweet disappears after being attacked by mattresses. The objects around them come alive with malevolent intent, signaling a full-blown haunting.

The girls try to escape, but Gorgeous manages to leave through a door while the others find themselves locked inside. The sense of entrapment grows as the supernatural presence tightens its grip on the house. Hope of a quick exit fades as the attacks continue.

The group discovers Mac's severed hand in a jar, a grisly clue to the danger within. Melody plays the piano to lift the spirits of her friends, but the music becomes a horror as the piano bites off Melody's fingers and consumes her. The haunting intensifies as the house keeps turning on them.

Upstairs, Gorgeous appears in a bridal gown and reveals her aunt's diary to the others. The diary explains that the aunt died waiting for a World War II fiancé and that she now eats unmarried girls who enter the house. The trio realizes they are in mortal danger as more household items begin attacking.

A giant head of Gorgeous confronts the trio and the aunt's backstory unfolds. Prof, Fantasy, and Kung Fu are overwhelmed by the onslaught; Kung Fu is killed by a light fixture, and Prof is pulled underwater by a jar with teeth. In the morning, Ryoko arrives and finds Gorgeous, who cryptically says the others will wake soon and that they will be hungry; she then shakes hands with Ryoko, who burns away to nothing.
