Bleak and unresolved, the ending of Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1 leaves us with a sense that the story is far from over. After Hayes Ellison, the rugged and somewhat mysterious outlaw-turned-protector, intervenes in a violent conflict between Lucy and the Sykes gang, he quickly takes the woman and her young son Sam under his wing.
