Good Mourning

London Clash wakes up to an overwhelming series of text messages from his girlfriend, Apple, that initially sound like an apology but quickly turn alarming with the words “good mourning.” Struggling to contact her, he fears she might be deliberately disconnecting from him. As if this uncertainty isn’t enough, he is also dealing with his new assistant, Olive, and the exciting chance to audition for a role in the upcoming Batman film. Chaos ensues when Trippie Redd surprisingly assaults him with a water balloon, resulting in the destruction of his phone and his feelings of helplessness.

Determined to uncover the truth, London seeks help from his friends Angel and Leo. Together, they devise a scheme to sneak into Apple’s house to find out what’s going on. Unfortunately, their break-in plan spirals into complete disarray when they accidentally damage urns containing the ashes of Apple’s deceased relatives. In an effort to remedy the situation, Angel proposes replacing the ashes with cannabis, which leads to an unforgettable session of smoking with friends Dylan, Fat Joe, and Kennedy.

As tensions escalate, Olive steps in to offer London a new phone, igniting hope that he can reconnect with Apple. However, this newfound communication is quickly thwarted when his friends, in a misguided attempt to help, discover Apple leaving with another man. Heartbroken, London misses a pivotal meeting with the Batman film director to confront Apple at the Van Nuys airport, but his plans take a sinister turn when he gets knocked out by an unknown assailant, an event recorded by none other than Dennis Rodman.

Meanwhile, Leo, in a desperate attempt to save London’s spot, disguises himself for the meeting but ends up arrested alongside Dylan after they are seen leaving Apple’s residence. As the situation deteriorates, London faces a confrontation with Apple, where she clarifies that the mysterious man was merely her stylist and the ominous text was just a harmless typo. Upset with London’s exaggerated reaction, Apple decides to end their relationship, prompting Maxine to sever ties with him as a client.

In the fallout, London must navigate the aftermath of bailing out Dylan and Leo from jail. Their quest leads them to crash a party hosted by Apple at YG’s house, ultimately ending in a late-night diner where Olive and Maxine join them via phone. Unexpectedly, the viral video of London being punched in the face has bizarrely earned him a role in the Batman film. As he grapples with this shocking twist, London reaches out to Apple, who agrees to meet him at the location of their first kiss.

However, fate has other plans. While driving to their meeting, London becomes distracted by texting and ends up colliding with Apple, placing them both in a hospital room. As the film reaches its striking conclusion, a captivating post-credits scene emerges, cleverly subverting expectations. It presents London Clash (portrayed by a British actor), a character blurring the line between reality and television. This perplexing revelation prompts viewers to reconsider whether the entire journey was merely an episodic venture, challenging the boundaries of what is real and what is fantasy in the cinematic experience.
