Enakshi begins to experience excessive hair fall during her school years in Siliguri. Her bald patches become targets for taunts as classmates nickname her 'brown island'. Her father even marks the patches with a black marker to try to hide them, but the problem worsens day by day.

The family consults a trichologist and then a dermatologist, but neither set of medications provides relief. The doctors' prescriptions fail to halt the hair loss, leaving Enakshi increasingly distressed. The medical path seems to lead nowhere as the condition persists.

In a bid to reclaim her hair, her father imposes dietary changes, feeding only carrots and stopping oils and mutton. The diet change brings little to no improvement and the shedding continues. The family remains hopeful but frustrated by the lack of progress.

To avoid public shame, Enakshi starts wearing a dupatta to cover her head at school. The nicknames persist, especially GK (Gone Kesh), reinforcing her sense of humiliation. She feels emotionally crushed as the social stigma deepens.

Meanwhile, a neighboring shop owner mentions traveling by air, rekindling Mr. Dasgupta's dream to visit the Taj Mahal with his wife. He decides to fulfill his wife's wish and arranges a trip, marking a hopeful turn in their otherwise grim medical journey.

Feeling morally crushed, Enakshi's family takes her to a major private hospital for a comprehensive checkup. After prescribed tests, she is diagnosed with alopecia. The doctor explains that steroid injections on the scalp could regrow hair but warns about cost and side effects.

With steroid treatment, Enakshi regains her hair and recovers much of her lost confidence. She stops wearing a veil and completes her 12th boards with first division, marking a high point in her resilience. The treatment, however, comes with new complexities.

Unfortunately, the steroid side effects include unwanted facial hair growth, prompting the doctors to halt therapy. As a result, Enakshi loses the hair again and ends up completely bald. She begins wearing a synthetic wig to cope with her appearance.

After college, Enakshi works as a salesgirl at a makeup brand outlet in the Siliguri Mall. She balances her job with her enduring passion for dance, keeping an eye on opportunities. The absence of options for bald women complicates her personal life.

During Durga Puja at the mall, Enakshi wishes to join a dance competition but is blocked by mall policies. Frustrated, she resigns from her job and signs up for a dance program instead, determined to pursue her passion. This marks a turning point toward recognizing her talent beyond appearances.

Srijesh, who has admired Enakshi since college, visits their home and expresses that he has always loved her, baldness and all. He proposes marriage, and she accepts with her parents' blessing. The revelation transforms her outlook on the future.

At the mall dance competition, a child accidentally pulls her wig, exposing her baldness to the audience. She rushes to the washroom in tears but, with encouragement from her family and Srijesh, performs without the wig. The audience responds with applause and support rather than mockery.

Enakshi marries Srijesh, stepping into a new life with his steadfast love. The wedding marks a fresh start, free from concealment and fear of judgment. Their commitment underlines the message that differences need not define a person's future.

A year after the wedding, Enakshi starts a dance academy and returns to teaching. She no longer wears a wig and embraces her appearance as part of her identity. She has learned to pursue her passion publicly and inspires others to accept their differences.
