Geethanjali

Prakash's graduation party is interrupted by a minor road mishap. Following the accident, routine tests reveal he has chronic myeloid leukemia with only a few months left to live. Shocked, he resolves to spend his remaining time away from grief, choosing seclusion.

Overwhelmed by his mother's constant grief, Prakash decides to retreat to his family's vacation home in Ooty to live peacefully. He aims to escape the emotional turmoil and spend his remaining days in quiet solitude.

Prakash arrives in Ooty and encounters Geethanjali, a lively prankster known for her playful scares. Their initial exchange hints at a budding, unlikely connection.

Geethanjali tries to scare Prakash with a ghostly trick near a church after sundown. Prakash, having heard of her antics, turns the tables by dressing as a vampire and performing aerial stunts that frighten her instead.

Geethanjali falsely accuses Prakash of asking her to elope and reports it to her grandmother. Her grandmother publicly confronts and humiliates him, despite his attempts to explain the truth.

In a fit of anger, Prakash drives Geethanjali to a remote hillside and leaves her there. The act marks a harsh turning point in their relationship.

Geethanjali's youngest sister informs Prakash that Geethanjali has not returned home. He searches the area and eventually finds her shivering in the cold before bringing her back to her family.

Geethanjali's health is revealed: she has a terminal illness, tetralogy of Fallot, and her father is a cardiologist. Prakash is struck by how she remains cheerful despite the prognosis.

Geethanjali explains she is not afraid of death and chooses to live in the moment. Inspired by her outlook, Prakash begins to embrace his own mortality and decide to live his remaining days to the fullest.

Prakash falls in love with Geethanjali as their relationship deepens. Initially she dismisses his advances as pranks, but she eventually reciprocates the affection.

Prakash's mother visits and unintentionally reveals his terminal illness to Geethanjali. Heartbroken, she urges him to leave, unable to bear the prospect of losing him.

Geethanjali's health worsens and she is rushed to the hospital. Her father, a doctor, asks Prakash to leave, respecting her wishes to be with her family and not to be a distraction.

Prakash decides to leave town; Geethanjali undergoes a critical heart operation. After the surgery, she regains consciousness and immediately asks to see Prakash.

At the railway station, Prakash is about to depart when he sees Geethanjali approaching. He runs back to her and they share a heartfelt kiss, choosing to face the future together.

The story closes with Prakash and Geethanjali finding solace and love in each other despite the looming specter of illness. They commit to living fully in the moment together.
