Fight or Flight

The film begins mid-air on a passenger plane, where chaos reigns as numerous assassins engage in a fierce battle, startling the other passengers. In the ensuing turmoil, one of the assassins shoots out a window, leading to catastrophic depressurization and causing several individuals to be ejected from the aircraft amidst the ensuing chaos.

Twelve hours prior, CIA Agent Aaron Hunter uncovers alarming intel: a formidable terrorist known only as “The Ghost” has dismantled one of their covert operations in Bangkok. Although Agent Hunter wishes to keep this information under wraps, CIA Director Katherine Brunt learns of the threat and decides that swift action must be taken, declaring The Ghost a significant threat to national security.

Brunt reaches out to Lucas Reyes, a disgraced former agent, now marooned in Bangkok due to being placed on a no-fly list—an action initiated by Brunt herself two years prior. Initially, Lucas rejects her request, exuding an air of defiance, but after encountering some thuggish trouble at a bar, he resigns himself to contact Brunt. She instructs him to locate The Ghost and bring her to San Francisco.

After receiving a new passport from one of Brunt’s associates, Lucas boards the plane, not realizing the danger that awaits him. Once airborne, Hunter and Brunt receive word that a staggering bounty of $10 million is set on The Ghost’s head, meaning that the aircraft is teeming with assassins eager to claim that reward. Lucas unwittingly strikes up a conversation with another passenger, Cayenne, who, unbeknownst to him, has sinister intentions. After being drugged by Cayenne in the restroom, Lucas narrowly escapes with his life, managing to retaliate and alert Brunt to the deadly situation unfolding aboard the flight.

The crew, including flight attendants Isha and Royce, become aware of the escalating violence and confront Lucas, but chaos ensues as Lucas fights back, revealing their true predicament. He soon realizes that Isha is The Ghost, as she exhibits signs of injury while seeking refuge from the very assassins targeting her. Together, they forge a tenuous alliance against the deadly adversaries in pursuit of their lives.

The tension escalates as they face relentless attacking assassins, each with their own lethal motives. Isha, who has had her own encounters with danger due to her past, is revealed to be much more than just a flight attendant. Her history of being trafficked and forced into tech-related crimes emerges as they battle back-to-back against their attackers. With a special device that holds significant intel about criminal networks, Isha fights not just for her survival but also for the chance to right the wrongs of her past.

As the fight rages on, the truth behind Lucas’s former connections to Brunt and Hunter reveals a deeper conspiracy. Lucas grapples with his tumultuous past, which includes a dark incident that led to his disgrace, all while uncovering Brunt’s betrayal in their shared history. The stakes rise even higher when they learn Hunter has manipulated the situation, instigating the assassins to eliminate both Lucas and Isha to capture the device for himself and Brunt.

When all seems lost as the assassins close in, Lucas takes drastic action, turning the plane into a battleground. In a harrowing climax, they manage to eliminate the threats one by one, even as further chaos unfolds—culminating in a fatal twist that sees Brunt turning on Hunter as they await the plane’s uncertain fate.

As the dust settles and the surviving crew and passengers are ushered to safety, Lucas and Isha, having developed a bond of trust and duty, confront their new path. They depart from the plane, ready to tackle a new mission focused on rescuing children caught in dire circumstances—a task that leaves Lucas staring into an unpredictable future. As he wakes in a hospital, he can only utter in disbelief, “Oh, fuck!”—signaling the start of yet another perilous journey.
