Twelve hours prior, CIA Agent Aaron Hunter uncovers alarming intel: a formidable terrorist known only as "The Ghost" has dismantled one of their covert operations in Bangkok. Although Agent Hunter wishes to keep this information under wraps, CIA Director Katherine Brunt learns of the threat and decides that swift action must be taken, declaring The Ghost a significant threat to national security.
Brunt reaches out to Lucas Reyes, a disgraced former agent, now marooned in Bangkok due to being placed on a no-fly list—an action initiated by Brunt herself two years prior. Initially, Lucas rejects her request, exuding an air of defiance, but after encountering some thuggish trouble at a bar, he resigns himself to contact Brunt.
