Logan proposes to Heaven and she accepts, reigniting their relationship. Through Logan's correspondence with Tony, the Tatterton and Casteel families agree to attend Heaven's wedding. They also arrange to hold the reception at Farthingale Manor, setting the stage for a high-society ceremony.

On Heaven's wedding day, Luke declines to give Heaven away, creating tension at the ceremony. Fanny, as maid of honor, publicly embarrasses Heaven by kissing Heaven's new husband on the dance floor. Heaven is hurt by Luke's withdrawal and longs for a father-daughter bond, even as he resists.
