Drunken Master II

Wong Fei-hung and his companions encounter Fu Wen-chi on the road back to Canton, and they end up exchanging blows. In the confusion, they accidentally switch the boxes they had been fighting over. Wong ends up with the Imperial Seal while Fu receives the ginseng Wong's father bought for a client. Unknown to Wong, the Imperial Seal is one of the artifacts the British consul plans to smuggle.

Back in Canton, Wong tries to pass off a root from his father's bonsai as genuine ginseng to satisfy the client. Ling, Wong's stepmother, loans her necklace to help raise money, while neighbors misread the Wongs' finances as a sign of hardship. The ruse creates tension at home and threatens the family's reputation.

News arrives that the British consul's henchmen are closing in to seize the Imperial Seal.
