Sniper: Special Ops

Sergeant Jake Chandler, Steven Seagal, a consummate sniper, joins Delta Force Sergeant Vic Mosby, Tim Abell, on an overwatch mission to extract an American Congressman held by the Taliban in a remote Afghan village. The operation opens with a promising rescue, but the situation quickly deteriorates as a heavy firefight erupts. An emergency evac is ordered, and in the confusion Chandler and his spotter, Pvt. Rich, Daniel Booko, are separated from the main team. The fighting costs the squad dearly, leaving several members dead or wounded and forcing a retreat that leaves Chandler and Rich behind.

Back at base, Mosby pushes to return for his missing comrades, but Lieutenant Colonel Jackson, Dale Dye, denies the request and instead assigns him a different, potentially vitally important task: to secure munitions that could sustain the base. The mission takes a sharp turn when the team reaches the city and the supposed handover appears to go through. It seems that the woman is being handed over, but a startling reveal overturns the plan: Janet has been in disguise, and the ruse exposes a calculated deception that could cost them dearly. Janet then uses her covert position to strike, attaching explosives to the Taliban leader in a decisive blast that eliminates the threat in a single, brutal moment.

In the aftermath of the explosive confrontation, the dust settles and the remaining members of the team push through the chaos. Chandler and Rich, who has endured a feverish decline, are finally rescued by Mosby, Vasquez, and Janet. The operation closes with a hard-won recovery, leaving the unit to reckon with loss, sacrifice, and the heavy cost of bringing teammates home. The mission, marked by tense near-misses, strategic calculations, and a final display of courage under fire, demonstrates the relentless persistence of those who operate behind the scenes to keep soldiers safe and bring them back from the edge.
