Destroy All Neighbors

William Brown is introduced as a sound engineer and aspiring musician living in a dilapidated apartment with his girlfriend Emily. For three years, he has been obsessed with creating a prog-rock album but struggles to attract any listeners to his work.

William's life takes a turn when a new neighbor named Vlad moves in next door. Vlad's unstable behavior quickly becomes a nuisance as he blasts loud EDM music and causes disruptions, leading William to confront him.

After suffering enough noise disturbances, William confronts Vlad about his loud music. However, instead of complying, Vlad mocks William and challenges him to a fight, resulting in an accidental and fatal decapitation.

Distraught by the turn of events, William decides to dismember Vlad's corpse and hide the remains in his bathtub. He is unsettled by the gruesome task but feels he has no other choice.

In a bizarre twist, Vlad mysteriously comes back to life, claiming he now resides 'in William's head rent-free.' This surreal event leaves William questioning his sanity and the nature of life and death.

While on his way to work, William's van is caused to run over a vagrant named Auggie. To his shock, William discovers that Auggie is actually 'Swig' Anderson, a musician he admires greatly. The realization hits him hard, but Auggie soon also returns to life.

In an attempt to rid himself of Vlad and Auggie's bodies, William deposits them on the side of the road in a secluded area. This unsettling choice reflects his desperation and the bizarre nature of his current predicament.

Back at the apartment, William learns that Eleanor, the building manager, has accidentally electrocuted herself while attempting to fix a faulty fuse. This incident stirs feelings of guilt in William as he remembers refusing to help her earlier.

Tensions arise between William and his girlfriend Emily as she grows frustrated with his obsession over his album. Following a heated argument, Emily leaves, further isolating William in his chaotic life filled with undead company.

After Emily's departure, Vlad and Auggie return to William's life. In a strange twist of fate, the three share a drunken celebration at Vlad's apartment, creating an unexpected bond amidst the chaos of their circumstances.

Encouraged by the camaraderie with Vlad and Auggie, William proudly presents one of his songs. To his delight, both Vlad and Auggie express admiration for his music, boosting his confidence in his creative pursuits.

Just as William begins to feel a sense of accomplishment, he faces hostility from his neighbor Philip, who demands silence. A confrontational scuffle ensues, culminating in William's act of self-defense that results in Philip's death.

After the chaos, William is taken to identify Eleanor's corpse at the morgue. However, he is left speechless when Eleanor rises from her cold slab, providing a glimmer of hope amidst his feelings of guilt and responsibility.

Once reunited, Eleanor reassures William that he is not to blame for her death. With her support, they devise a plan to finish William's album with the help of Vlad and Auggie, creating a revival within the undead community.

In a final push, William brings the group of zombies to the recording studio. Despite several minor setbacks, they collaboratively manage to complete William's long-awaited album, marking a strange but triumphant conclusion to their chaotic journey.
