The film kicks off at the bustling Antwerp International Airport, where a daring gang, known as the “Panther Mafia,” orchestrates a heist to steal a priceless red diamond onboard a plane. Among the skilled members of this crew is Jovanna, who expertly operates the surveillance systems while her fellow thieves, including Donnie, Slavko, Dragan, Marko, and Vuk, storm the aircraft armed with firearms, successfully getting their hands on the sparkling gem before making their hasty escape.

Meanwhile, back in Los Angeles, Nicholas ‘Big Nick’ O’Brien uncovers news of the bold Antwerp heist and becomes convinced that Donnie and his crew are the masterminds behind it. When he approaches his superiors with this information, he is met with resistance; they advise him to let it go, knowing that instigating an investigation would mean making a public acknowledgment of Donnie’s audacious robbery of the Federal Reserve. Determined to catch the criminals, Nick seeks out Merrimen’s girlfriend Holly (played by Meadow Williams) in order to extract crucial information on where Merrimen stashed his illicit earnings. The meeting takes a turn when she demands a share of the wealth in exchange for the intel, threatening to release an embarrassing tape featuring Nick if her demands aren’t met.

In their hideaway in Nice, France, Donnie, now going by the alias Jean-Jacques, and his team plot their next big move: robbing the World Diamond Center during a significant event. Tension brews as Jovanna prepares to introduce Donnie to Chava (Nazmiye Oral), the wife of the bank manager safeguarding the stolen diamond. As they gain inside access to the facility, Donnie reports back to Jovanna, detailing their challenges in breaching the vault.

Across the waters, the Italian mafia, led by a figure ominously known as “The Octopus” (Adriano Chiaramida), discovers that the red diamond that has been lifted rightfully belongs to them. They plot their revenge and head to Nice to keep tabs on the Panther crew.

Amidst the rising tension, Nick ventures to Nice, seeking Detective Hugo (Yasen Zates Atour) who has been monitoring the Panther Mafia’s movements, unveiling valuable leads for him. This meeting propels Nick into Donnie’s world, where he impresses the crew with his street-savvy demeanor. However, a connection arises between Nick and Jovanna that sparks jealousy in Marko, her ex. A brawl ensues, leading to their expulsion from a club, but sparks a camaraderie between Nick and Donnie, who share stories of their challenging upbringings.

Things escalate when Nick and Donnie are captured by the mafia during a dramatic turn of events. Taken out on a boat in the middle of the ocean, they learn the gravity of their predicament—their lives hinge on returning the stolen goods. After a tense encounter with Jovanna, who reveals a rift within the crew as other members back out of the heist, the plan evolves. Nick cleverly positions himself as a fake security contractor to gain access to critical areas of the bank, aided by the hidden camera he secures.

As the crew gears up to execute their heist, they seize the opportunity during a major soccer event, sneaking into the WDC through an adjacent building. With Jovanna behind the scenes coordinating the cameras, they manage to snatch the prized diamond along with cash. However, as they flee, a bar collapses, leaving Nick trapped on the rooftop. In a heart-pounding moment, he must react quickly, taking out a guard to make his escape.

As they rush toward the Italian border, a fierce confrontation ensues with Marko and Vuk, who have allied with a rival gang, dubbed “The Tigers.” A chaotic shootout erupts, but as they think they’ve eliminated the threat, Marko and Vuk meet their explosive end thanks to the machinations of the Italian mafia. In a twist of fate, Nick and Donnie find themselves returning the stolen diamond, now under a cloud of betrayal as law enforcement arrives to apprehend the crew—except for Nick, who covertly collaborates with the authorities.

In a poignant visit, Nick faces Donnie in prison, revealing that whilst their friendship was genuine, his ulterior motives were not. Subsequently, the Italian mafia orchestrates an audacious ambush, taking Donnie during a transport, much to the surprise of The Octopus, who sees potential in Donnie’s talents at the bank.

The story ends on an intriguing note as Nick drives along the scenic coast, receiving an unexpected text from Donnie. With a promise of their paths crossing again, a smile spreads across Nick’s face, hinting at an unclosed chapter in their turbulent lives.
