Death Sentence

Nick Hume is introduced as a devoted husband and father who works as a Vice President at an insurance firm. He prides himself on leading an orderly life, ensuring his family's well-being and embracing the responsibilities that come with his role.

One evening, after attending a hockey game with his son Brendan, Nick's routine begins to unravel. They are driving home when they notice two cars with their headlights off, prompting Nick to flash his own lights in an attempt to alert the distracted drivers.

Nick and Brendan stop at a gas station to refuel. Unfortunately, the same two cars pull in shortly after, filled with a gang of street thugs who are planning a robbery, setting off a chain of tragic events.

As the robbery unfolds, the gang members shoot the station owner when he tries to defend himself. In a horrific moment, they initiate a brutal performance for their new recruit, resulting in the devastating death of Brendan at the hands of Joe, a gang member wielding a machete.

After witnessing his son's murder, Nick pursues the gang in a frantic effort to save him. He manages to tackle Joe and remove his mask, but the gang member escapes, ultimately meeting an accidental demise when struck by a vehicle afterward.

Nick rushes Brendan to the hospital, but his worst nightmare comes true as he watches Brendan die in his arms. This tragic moment serves as the catalyst for Nick's transformation from a family man to a figure driven by vengeance.

Filled with fury after learning that Joe might receive a light sentence, Nick decides not to identify Joe during the proceedings. This decision ultimately leads to Joe walking free, intensifying Nick's desire for revenge.

Now consumed by vengeance, Nick tracks down Joe's hideout and brutally kills him in cold blood. This act sets off a violent chain of events as Joe's brother Billy, the gang's leader, vows revenge for his brother's death.

Billy and his gang begin to hunt Nick, culminating in a brazen assassination attempt on him in broad daylight as he leaves his office. Nick narrowly escapes, causing a gang member to be killed during a rooftop standoff.

With his family under threat due to Billy’s vengeful pursuits, Nick comes under police protection. However, tragedy strikes once again when two officers assigned to safeguard the Hume family are murdered during their watch.

In a catastrophic turn of events, Nick, his wife Helen, and younger son Luke are ambushed in their home. A brutal shootout leaves Nick gravely wounded while his wife succumbs to her injuries, leaving their family shattered.

Nick wakes up in the hospital to the devastating news that his wife has died and that his son Luke is in a coma. This moment marks a significant turning point as Nick comes to grips with the full weight of his family’s loss.

Despite his injuries, Nick's drive for vengeance leads him to escape from the hospital. This moment signifies his transformation into a man determined to confront the chaos that has engulfed his life.

Nick seeks assistance from Bones, a mechanic who provides him with weapons and vital information. In a twist of fate, he learns that Bones is the father of Billy and Joe, yet he allows Nick to continue his vendetta against the gang.

In a final explosive confrontation at the gang's hideout, nicknamed 'The Office', Nick faces off against Billy. Amidst the chaos and bloodshed, they exchange fire, both men reflecting on the path that led them to this moment of violence.
