Dead Mine

Djoko is a skilled, loyal member of the expe­dition who fights bravely to protect the group underground. He confronts mutated horrors with improvised gear as the tunnel system claustrophobically closes in. His courage is tested to the limit, and he ultimately dies defending his teammates, his body later found among the wreckage.

Captain Prawa leads the squad with steady resolve and tactical calm. He pushes for escape while navigating the threats of the bunker and its mutating inhabitants. He sacrifices himself in a final act to buy time for others to flee, embodying leadership and selflessness.

Papa Snake is a steadfast loyalist who fights to hold the line against the mutated forces. He stays behind to stall the onslaught so the others can escape, and is fatally stabbed in the process. His sacrifice underscores the cost of survival in the bunker.

Warren Price is a wealthy, risk-taking adventurer who sponsors the expedition with the goal of unearthing Yamashita’s gold and obtaining mutagenic material. His greed leads him to plot smuggling a sample, driving tension and causing devastating consequences for the group.

Su Ling is Price’s companion who helps decode clues and participates in the plan to exploit the mutagen. She administers the mutagenic formula in a bid to save Price, but is betrayed and killed when Price becomes driven by the mutagenic influence.

Rie is a Japanese scientist accompanying the crew who documents the surrender and provides vital knowledge about the mutations. She survives the initial onslaught, escapes the mines via an underwater passage, and continues to fight for safety, though her fate remains ominous at the end.

Stanley is a former military engineer turned mercenary who aids in guarding the group and navigating the tunnels. He plays a crucial role in holding lines and assisting in the escape, where he shares in the peril and fate of the group.

Ario is part of the expedition team who is attacked by a monstrous creature and dragged into the tunnels. His fate is left uncertain as the group fights to survive the evolving horrors, making his arc one of peril and mystery.
